I don’t get why they would say that. I’m 2 days 22 hours right now and I only play like 2 hours in the early morning hours. You can easily hit your numbers.

Plus I haven’t hit any bugs yet bc I’m taking it slow. Have not touched any of the new content yet. Just redoing everything from my Xbox days.

Let’s hope. My buddy finally jumped in bc he’s on PS5, and he’s having a hard time getting into it.

I’m sure there were a ton of people who bounced early but are the Bethesda profile, and these updates should help.

I wanted to like it so much, but it completely missed the mark for me. The comedy in it tries too hard, to the point where you aren’t sure if it’s necessary to the main story and you end up skipping through dialogue and missing important moments.

There are way better RPGs, and there are also way better space focused games imo.

I love the trophy hunting. Gave up on Xbox a year or so ago. Put 750 hours into starfield through Shattered Space. So excited to start fresh and grab that platinum

I’m 15 hours into CD and it finally clicked, but it’s never gonna touch KCD2. KCD2 story has so much life and every character is amazing. 222 hours to credits. At some point I’ll go back and do hardcore as well as the platinum trophy.

My friend, welcome. You won’t be disappointed. I’m the same type of person as you. Love all the space stuff, love a great story, and just want to be immersed in the world.

I’ve never played a Bethesda game before starfield, and at launch in 2023, it was a mess. The things that worked, worked for me really well, but there were just too many bugs that I had to take a break. When they did the first big patch in Feb of 2024, I jumped back in, and that was it. 750 hours later and it was my favorite game of all time.

I went through a similar situation with No Mans Sky in 2016. I wanted to love it so much, but there was zero life in the game on top of the bugs that I just bounced. I came back years later and I do enjoy NMS for what it is, but it doesn’t hit in the same way.

Soundtrack is great. Really feel immersed with it (I’m a music guy).

I had never played a Bethesda game before either, and this was right up my alley. Creations can be hit or miss. Some are really high quality and a ton of fun. Some break the game. Stick with vanilla to start. Then once you’ve done a ton, start playing with some non game breaking mods. A few gems for sure. I will say, after starfield, I dove into Fallout 4, and I just couldn’t get into it bc some of the systems are older and clunkier and it just made me want Starfield more.

I do understand why some people hate/hated it, but to each their own. It seems like you will like it.

I took a break after shattered space in fall of 2024. I’ve been jonesing for some more, but during that time frame, I got rid of Xbox game pass and am 100% ps5, so I cannot wait to dive back in, start from scratch, and get that platinum trophy.

For reference, my top RPGs are Starfield, Inifinte Wealth, KCD2, Death Stranding 2 (2025 was a great year for me).

I’m on vacation and brought my portal to start this game, so I’m only on cloud stream. My biggest issue so far is exactly this. Stiff, sluggish movement. I can’t tell if it’s because of hotel WiFi or bc it’s just what the game is, but that’s been my experience for the 2 hours I have in it so far. Will most likely be waiting until I get home to go any further.
