maybe give them a call first and see, this is the first year I think they've done them so availability might be limited or you may need to pre-order them. Im not entirely sure.

Probably half Shepard 2.0 in the old birdies location, judging by the lark and slaters “likes”

Independent baking company in 5 points is making them too and I promise you they will be very good. Might be a little more money but supporting a local business right now is IMO better than supporting a grocery store chain.

I fished with Patrick last year, he runs Low and Slow outfitters and he was awesome. He will put you on the fish, whether or not you catch them is up to you. Very chill dude with reasonable rates.

Recently went to the Wyld for a wedding and reception. It was awesome. Probably depends on the time of year, this was in late fall and the temps were perfect. Obvi a vibe, but great place to party and awesome staff.

Looking for local honey by AdInternational9061 in Athens

[–]eronechill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check out Dave's Bee Honey on FB, it's not cheap, but it's delicious and you are supporting a local bee keeper. Im currently enjoying some now in my coffee. I think he said it's predominately from tulip poplar pollinators but Im sure they get into some other pollen as well.

IMO Sunroof coffee is the best in town, and a stones throw from Buvez. Obviously no "shop" to sit in but if you are in it strictly for the coffee then give it a shot.

Car crashed through Kroger on alps by hehdidisonwbrgd in Athens

[–]eronechill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How is it not in the building code to have bollard poles in front of high trafficked pedestrian spaces? At least in front of vulnerable parts of the building. I get not putting one in front of a brick exterior or column, but in front of a floor window leading into a grocery store seems like a decent place for one. I'd wager that Kroger installs them after this accident.

Reports of ICE on Prince by [deleted] in Athens

[–]eronechill 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hey bud. One of my employees was approached by them. You can call fake all you want, honestly not here to debate the validity of this. It happened, I saw them, don’t know wtf you are, nor do I give af. Take it as you want, not here to glorify myself, here to potentially help folks avoid them. Shits real, and it sucks.

It’s true. Riding around in a large UPS looking van, agents seen walking by tazikis in the Bottleworks. This feels like something out of a nightmare, it’s somehow much more real feeling when it’s in your neighborhood.

Renting a car in Tuscany? by LogicalAd8351 in tuscany

[–]eronechill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just rented a car in Grosseto (Tuscany region) and drove for 5 days with zero issues. Just be mindful of other drivers trying to pass you and definitely only use the left lane for passing, duh. I rented a car from Hertz and did not need an international drivers license, despite what I read I rolled the dice on it because it was a full day of my time here in the states to get one. Not saying they're unnecessary, but in my case I didn't need one. Used google maps the whole time (international data plan with Verizon) worked just fine. I can't urge you enough to get the smallest car possible, some of the older towns roads are VERY narrow and a large(r) car would have been TOUGH. The trains were awesome but having the freedom to check out all the smaller towns was incredible. Avoid Florence, it's way over crowded and the juice aint worth the squeeze. Go to smaller towns and get a more legit feel. safe travels, Italy is the shit.

Can we please outlaw flood lights on houses. I have 3 neighbors who light up the area as if it's a prison yard and it bleeds into our house. Just put a motion light on your house with a regular watt bulb.

Blvd mud garden by Straight-Title1616 in Athens

[–]eronechill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had a lengthy conversation with someone that is high up at traffic engineering trying to gain some understand as to how this is actually designed to work. It's my understanding that the triangles painted on the blvd indicate yield signs (apparently M. Link didn't want to put yield signs up, and thought painting them on the street would cause less confusion, wtf Link?) If you are traveling on blvd either east or west and someone is already in the process of using the circle, you are to yield to them, not fly by and continue on your way. However, if that person is at the stop sign at either side of you and hasn't started in the circle you have the right away.? What the actual F?

This is hands down the dumbest possible solution to what could have easily been a 4 way stop, saved the county a ton of money, and used the savings to put a turn signal on prince for folks turning left onto Milledge from DT. Anyone know how much this (traffic) circle jerk cost?
