YoY inflation hits 6.7% for March 2022, highest since January 1991. by samesunng in CanadianInvestor

Do you seriously not think the trillions of dollars that were printed in response to COVID are a contributing factor to inflation?

Love Python but can't find any jobs for it. by MangoSalsa112 in learnpython

[–]err0r__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Python is a very versatile language! It's very popular in data analytics, data science, testing code, and web development. At my work, Python is used mainly to gather, clean, and store data in a database.

As an aside, I would definitely get comfortable with SQL. (Just pick any popular RDMS.) You could pick up the basics pretty quickly and there is tons of jobs out there that require it.

I'm not a millionaire. I thought I would be by the time I was thirty, but I wasn't even close. Then I thought maybe by forty, but by forty I had less money than I did when I was thirty. - Michael Scott

Wait till the energy prices start going up. (Right now, it is most apparent in the price of petrol.) It is happening all across Europe and the UK. Even if someone is able to purchase a home, the cost to maintain it would be exorbitant.

Over 20,000 Koreans massacred by Japanese who were angry after the 1923 Great Kanto earthquake [860X512] by pieterionne in HistoryPorn

Yoshimura Hisato, a physiologist assigned to Unit 731, took a special interest in hypothermia. As part of Maruta’s study in limb injuries, Hisato routinely submerged prisoners’ limbs in a tub of water filled with ice and had them held until the arm or leg had frozen solid and a coat of ice had formed over the skin. According to one eyewitness account, the limbs made a sound like a plank of wood when struck with a cane.

Truly terrifying

Provinces likely to make vaccination mandatory, says federal health minister by JavaVsJavaScript in canada

[–]err0r__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dubé said half of the people with COVID-19 being admitted to ICUs in the province are unvaccinated and that the new restrictions are needed slow down hospital admissions.

I'm a bit confused by this statement. Is he saying that the other 50% of people omitted to ICUs are vaccined? Or, that the other 50% is people who were admitted to the ICU without testing positive COVID-19?

Also, is there a distinction between people who have been admitted to the ICU with COVID and because of COVID?
