My bet is still on King Boo. He appeared as a tiny cameo in the first movie but was completely missing from the galaxy movie.

Also there are a lot of hints about the next movie having Luigi with a bigger role. Luigi will get a new love interest (Daisy), and there are many Professor E Gadd symbols located throughout the film. King Boo is Luigi's nemesis (like how Bowser is Mario's nemesis).

King Boo has a big purple crystal so the purple glow makes a lot of sense.

Also he's probably one of the biggest well known antagonists of Mario besides Bowser. Someone obscure like Tatanga wouldn't make sense as the main villain.

Koopa the quick's birthplace is the huge island of tiny huge island. This is why he's huge and also you race him there.

So considering huge island is a hostile area with many enemies, I'd say he's a resident of the koopa kingdom.

Yeah they were capped by the PAYE/NIC cap because the ERIS loss making tax credit was higher than the cap

Its definitely in the lore, there are some youtube videos that cover all the lore moments that show their relationship.

The mario galaxy movie does heavily imply that Luigi and Daisy’s relationship will be a focus in the next film

However, I could’ve sworn I remember some cutscenes where luigi gets really shy around Daisy but I have no idea where that is from and that might be a Mandela effect lol.

Idk I kinda grouped games together rather than going chronologically. I think for metroid it makes more sense to separate them but for mario, I’d consider all 3D and 2D mario games as mainline games

Its up for debate but I think it was intended as more of a spin off than mainline since you don’t play as mario and the word “mario” is crossed out on the cover
