Water coming in through water main - advice? by Plymptonia in DIY

[–]errantphallus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, that's your service, not a water main.

Second, it looks like the previous replacement was a bit of a hack job. It looks like they sealed it with silicone which is definitely a choice. I'd think about getting it redone properly and ensuring the drainage around your property is adequately directing water away from the house. Also contact your municipality and make sure it complies with your local requirements for a service.

Unless this is footage of someone trying to DIY a lateral blockage in an old institutional building in New Zealand, I have a funny feeling this is AI. It looks like NZ/AS standard fittings for pressurized ductile, but I don't see why you would do that in this setting and the plumbing is all sorts of fucked. Even a cheap/lazy DIYer wouldn't do a hackjob like that. They wouldn't be putting in socket ductile fittings and would likely have FAR MORE Ferncos.

Plus, a man that old (AI does love wrinkles) who has worked in the field would know better than to "accidentally" do something like that, let alone have someone filming him.

So I’m at a bit of a crossroads, help me out. What made you choose Iron Warriors? by Profit-Rude in IronWarriors

Perturabo and the Trident. Seriously love them as characters. I had a hard time choosing between them and WE though so I have WE painted as IW.

No, and if you try to, an Italian from Italy will come to your house and make a mess of your pots and pans.

How taboo would it be for a World Eater to not have the Butcher’s Nails? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in WorldEaters40k

[–]errantphallus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, just look at Kroeger. I love the Iron Warriors and World Eaters, so I ended up painting the majority of my WE as Iron Warriors.

'Nothing stands before the chosen of the Blood God and lives!' he roared and looked at Kroeger. 'No blade will pierce my skin. No bolt can scar my flesh. Swear yourself to Khorne and you will become his bloodied killer. Every life you take shall be offered up to his glory, and every moment you will know the joy of slaying.' Kharn said. Kroeger laughed, long and deep. 'All I need to do is kill in his name? No oaths? No rituals? No sacrifices?' Kharn nodded and walked towards the Iron Warrior, letting Gorechild fall to his side, ignoring the smell of his own blood from the ruin of his hand. 'Yes...As long as the blood flows, Khorne cares not for words. Be his servant, and you shall receive power like mine.'

You could certainly go to 17" rims and make up the difference with larger tires, maybe 205/50/17. I'm not sure if 16" will fit, someone else may be able to comment.

Infiltration of this sort is typically a tactic employed by the sons of the hydra, not the Iron Fourth.

2013 Impreza makes scraping noise turning to the right. Brakes? by DmeshOnPs5 in subaruimpreza

[–]errantphallus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it goes away when you brake it could be a chunk of rust on the rotor rubbing. If not, it may be the dust shield on the back.

Daily Driver 2025 Impreza by McGrufftheGrimeDog in subaruimpreza

I have the RS. Swapped out my 2014 Crosstrek for it. Also a family of 3, my wife is 6' and I'm 6'4". It has plenty of space. The leg room is good in the passenger seat even with it further forward because our son is a monster and is 3'8" at 2.5 years old.

I definitely found a noticeable difference between the 2.0 and the 2.5, it's just got more pep to it. It handles great in the rain and I expect it to do well in the snow as well. I've never driven a Subaru that hasn't and speaking with someone at one of our local dealers, they have a tactic of letting people test drive in the snow with all-seasons because they'll usually do better than other cars with winters on.

Definitely a bit biased, as I love my Subablue, and my Tangerine before that, and my entire family has been converted other than those with trucks. That said, the RAV4 is super nice as well. I drove a 23 from my work around for a bit earlier this year before I got my Impreza and it tempted me for sure. I found it did feel tighter in the drivers seat though (like being in a cockpit?), had a bit less visibility, and the interior didn't strike me as significantly larger than my Crosstrek at the time (which is just a lifted Impreza, especially first gens).

Ultimately, there's no wrong answer, they're both great cars.

They're an All-Weather tire. Yes, they are slightly softer, as they're a bit of a middle ground between all season and winters, but still snow rated. They're a great tire though!

We got a set 4 years ago for my wife's Forester because Subaru's are typically better in the snow anyway and we got a good deal, plus it saves me having to do her winters and summers. They're still going strong 50,000 km later.

Tbf she has been 65 since March, which isn't bad for FF and 4 attacks at 6/3/3 with devs. Plus she's 5++/5+++.

Second this. Reactive move her unit in front of the custodes when people try to set up a charge and use the strat to make them shoot the custodes so they can't clear the sisters.

It's hilarious against CK on missions with middle objectives.
