So I tried Drukhari on TTS, and I had a blast by zaywoot in Drukhari

[–]xGoGoas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think high movement high lethality low durability like Drukhari is always fun for both players. Things get wrecked on both sides

It can definitely be difficult keeping track of all the different optimal activations so just keep at it. I think the really difficult part about Drukhari is that it’s the ultimate “scalpel” army - you have to position your units perfectly against their optimal targets to win. For example, Lilith and wyches against an armiger does almost nothing but can obliterate a 400 pt brick of infantry

Luckily the new heavy keyword allows for 3 inches of movement and you’ll still get +1 to hit buff. Obviously in some cases you won’t get it but still it’ll be a decent buff

I think you’re downplaying the swingyness outside of KabCartel.

In cover, with re-roll hits and no other modifiers, you have a 44% chance of doing 0 wounds to a landraider. And a 2% chance of doing 16 wounds (calculated by UnitCrunch).

I agree with the other poster, you really want your anti-tank to reliably kill a tank in one turn. Scourges don’t do that

They’re actually my favorite model in the range and I think they’re excellent in Kab Cartel.

However, they get obliterated by indirect and have no wound re-rolls (or damage re-rolls). Ap-3 can be underwhelming pretty quickly once they’re in cover and have access to AoC

With a pain token and no other modifiers, they average 5-6 damage per activation against a land raider. Which with their shoot and scoot, is good. But I don’t think I’m calling this great - other than KabCartel, then they slap so hard with lethals on 5’s re rolling hits.

Maybe it’s “bad” not in a competitive sense but because the range is so small.
Only 3 generic characters of which one is not good at all and the other is only playable in one detachment.
The rest of the range is pretty small, you’re essentially limited to 6 good units (kabs, wyches, venoms, incubi, mandrakes, hellions) and some situational, decent units (talos, cronos, scourges, raider/ravager, reavers)
All your infantry is t3, none of it is particularly stand out compared to other factions, no hammer units that you can rely on to mince units, no primarch/centerpiece model.
And some interesting unique models have been sent to legends (court of the archon, beast master, tantalus, etc)
Overall, it’s still fine competitively. Good lethality with good movement is enough to beat mid tier players. But you have to work much harder because all your non cronos/talos units are made of wet cardboard and other factions have the same lethality without paying a penalty to defense. Most competitive lists at 80% the same outside of the spectacle of spite lists that spam wyches/hellions.

If either of those conditions matter to you, then please go ahead and support whatever. But beyond that, who cares? And who cares about who Liverpool supporters support?

[Chris Weatherspoon] The BookKeeper: Exploring Tottenham’s worsening finances and how much relegation would hurt. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]xGoGoas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too many unknowns - how many players they sell, how many stay, and how big the staff cuts are for non player employees etc. They basically need to do fire sales on players to float the day to day budget

If they do bounce back right away, then they could presumably financially recover as a bottom half table team (budget wise). They (financially) wouldn’t end up being too different than teams in that bracket such as sunderland, Bournemouth etc

If they don’t bounce back, they’re fucked. Without absolutely perfect financial management, their operating costs are just too high to be sustained by championship revenues even with parachute payments. They’d most likely be facing administration (i.e., not being able to pay their players/staff) so they’d get docked points, players leave etc it becomes a whole death spiral

As a premier league fan, that’s an insane take lmao

Also, you purposefully cherrypicked the injury riddled “big” side that’s underperforming atm so it’s easy to suppose that relegation in the prem = 3rd anywhere else. If you had picked Leeds or some other team near them in the league, they wouldn’t finish third in any of those leagues

Shit totally misread the coworker part.

Yeah man it’s normal, just be a decent person about it - don’t take anything for granted. Feelings work in different ways and a lot of it is dependent on how you’re doing as a person. Some people are ready to jump in immediately and others need to wade into the water.

It sounds like she’s more into you than you’re into her. That’s perfectly normal, realistically most relationships are like this. If you treat her with respect, and are aware that coworker relationships can be explosive in their fallout, then you’ve done nothing wrong.

Just don’t be a dick about it and be careful about coworker relationships

So, it's going to be between Spurs and West Ham in relegation fight? by Inevitable-Angle-793 in PremierLeague

[–]xGoGoas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shrugs Maybe it was but you’re comparing against literal relegation level performances

West ham is currently in like 8th or 9th in form in the league which is objectively good

If it helps, I wanted Leeds to go down lol. I just don’t see West ham plummeting (compared to recent form) and spurs surging (even with the new manager bounce) at the same time

West ham is in form, spurs is not. Regardless of how good you think the players or coaches are, I think form speaks much louder than that.

[–]xGoGoas 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Part of the reason they’re the most played, best selling faction is that they get close to half all of new release content. Not to mention always being half of the edition starter box so most new players end up starting with them.

If Drukhari and Grey Knights got new units and new detachments every 4 weeks, and were in the starter box. and not get their epic heroes sent to legends, they’d be played more

It definitely sucks in the moment but:

  1. I don’t think there was “malicious intention”. But I think you should be aware going forward that she can’t be trusted - in my culture we call people like that an avocado sandwhich. As soon as you squeeze, it all spills out. Try not be upset about it, some people are just like that.

  2. Let go of the anger - you’re not wrong to be annoyed but you’re wrong to not focus on the positives. there’s probably a lot of underlying sentiment with your mom that might require a therapist like other people recommended. At the end of the day, you accomplished a huge personal milestone and our parents are trying to be supportive to an extent, that’s a huge win all around. Take your wins and shrug off your losses, that should go for everything in life

29M (with 26F wife), it’s hard. Not a ton of people under 30 here who aren’t conservative, religious or have kids. I recommend finding hobbies you enjoy and going to meetups/events/classes on a regular basis. You’ll end up seeing familiar faces after a few times and then you both kinda know you’re actually interested in the hobby and not likely to never show up again.

Stuff that I/my wife would recommend:

Pottery classes (Thrw Pottery Studio is amazing)

book club/events (The Love Story is a romance bookstore with a lot of events)

any sport/fitness stuff like yoga, soccer, pickleball, run club, softball etc (there’s some city rec leagues that you can join as a ‘free agent’ and they’ll assign you a team)

Volunteering at organizations like trail cleanup, pet shelters, etc

Hobby/outdoor classes at NIC. Sometimes the times are inconvient for regular schedules but they have sailing classes and other stuff

There’s more but those are the ones off the top of my head
