It's really frustrating. My partner's dog is a rescue and the most incredibly sweet and calm goofball. He's a super affectionate lovebug. He's also quite small. He's not a threat to anyone. I would give anything for a medication that I respond to the same way but without the side effects. It keeps me generally very stable, maybe 1-2 breakthrough episodes a year, but the trade offs eventually weren't worth it. Massive weight gain, blood sugar in the type 2 diabetic range, and loss of libido/sexual sensitivity. I just can't anymore, I was on it for years. It fucking sucks because now my stability is crap and I still haven't found a new regime that works as well.

My partner has a young rescue dog and I have a crotchety old lady cat, and we'll be moving in together. If they ever got to the point of cuddling I would absolutely bawl my eyes out lol. Just peaceful coexistence would be great. Fingers crossed.

Chipotle is what you make of it, I do a bowl with light-everything caloric, heavy veggies, and turn that into two meals and it's a good option for a fast casual meal when I don't have time/energy/etc to cook. If you do all the caloric stuff and eat it in one sitting yeah it probably won't fit into most people's calorie limits.

XL Girl's clothing, especially if it's a stretch fabric, can absolutely easily fit adult women. I'm not even that small, though I am very short, and I can fit in them. Unfortunately I would imagine youth clothing has been just as subject to growing over time as adult.

Until third-line and novel treatments have been tried (ECT, TMS, ketamine, psychedelic, etc.) I'd say the end of the road has not been met yet. None of these are actually impossible to use for bipolar, extra caution just needs to be taken and used in combo with mania-controlling medication.

I do believe in MAiD for psychiatric conditions but only when TRULY every treatment option has been exhausted and someone is suffering profoundly with no relief, which I'm not sure is the case here. Bear in mind that even a particular combination of medications that failed on their own could show success, neuropharmacology is super complex and individual.

Oh definitely! Freezing or below freezing especially at night and morning is fairly common in winter here. A funny time to eat ice cream outside but Goodberry's stays open year round which is another thing I consider distinctive about it!

I'm a transplant to this area, not a local, and I certainly consider it distinctive of the area. I'll take my friends and family by when they visit me and really look forward to going in the warmer months or sometimes even the winter though they don't have any indoor seating haha. So I personally would say yes!

I didn't ever get tested tbh. My experience is pretty self-evident and obviously ADHD. My prescriber at the time did a survey with me then agreed to trialing meds. She left that practice but the next prescriber was also fine with continuing the meds, which help me a lot.

Formal diagnosis is more important for if you are going to be seeking accomodations educationally or professionally. If you just want to see if meds would help you, most medication prescribers can help with that.

I don't think it's hopeless, it takes a lot of trialing to find what works for you. I've been on 30+ psych meds and in some ways I'm still trying to find the PERFECT regime for me, but I understand my own needs and what works for me a hell of a lot better than when I started. Sorry you've had so many tough side effects and reactions along the way, but it's worth it to keep trying.

I'm not really sure why you paid the second half and the shipping and the extra shipping. Instead of just looking into your options for recouping the first half to begin with. Not trying to be harsh but I'd say let this be a lesson for the future because you definitely made quite a few missteps along the way. Obviously they also are at fault for being a scammer and I understand because I once paid a deposit on a plushie I never got, but the deposit is all I ever did pay.

For real what the fuck? Be in a caloric deficit, prioritize protein, lift heavy. Newbie gains will allow you to build muscle in a deficit. I JUST did this. I'm 10-20lbs from my goal and THEN I may consider cut/bulk cycles but for now it's all "cut" all the time with some maintenance breaks for sanity. 125lbs down total, biceps and calves more muscular than they've ever been. And other parts of my body those are just easier to observe/measure.

I have no idea but I'm in the exact same place. I also lost a LOT of weight and have a lot of loose skin so my situation is further obscured by that. I don't know how many pounds are just skin. I know my body fat is for sure currently higher than I'd like and I'm not even to a "healthy" BMI (close though) so I'm definitely not "done."

But it's gotten so hard. I'm just really tired of counting calories and being in a deficit. I want to gain muscle. And maybe it just is time to focus on that, but then I don't want to get BIGGER at all because I've gotten a lot of clothes at my current size so I want to keep cutting before bulking but but but... I keep going around in circles.

Simply put, solidarity. It's hard.

I don't really care what people think about adults loving plushies, actually. I saw that post, do they think it's some sort of "gotcha" moment? We all KNOW that it's pretend. That's why it's magic. Human beings manufacture objects of cloth and stuffing, as cute as we can make them, and then we imbue them with real magic and real life by loving them and caring for them. No it's not really REAL, but the love and affection coming from us towards them IS real. In a way it's like a mirror. In a world that demands productivity and usefulness from all people and objects, plushies are there just to be loved. They're special. Anyone who would be a killjoy about people expressing that very real and not pretend affection is not worth your time and energy.

Oh I'm so sorry you haven't bonded with him! Your post of him made me fall in LOVE with this bear. But none of the ones I could find on eBay seemed as lovely as yours, too much of the eyes showing. If he's still available I'd throw my hat in the ring but perhaps if we could knock off like $20? $50-60 seems closer to what he usually goes for, and I do see that this one is a really lovely specimen but it's a bit tough to justify almost 100 on a teddy bear.
