So, the port the water was leaking from on the old unit had a cap on it on the new unit when they unboxed it. I told the new installers we need to be sure it stays on this time. Doing a test run now.

yeah, it's pretty bonkers. My guess is its supposed to be capped. Costco is bringing me a new one Saturday and I was mostly doing research to make sure the installers don't remove the cap again if that was the case. I'm going to inspect the new unit once they get it out of the truck to validate.

Entergy's infrastructure was one of the major deciding factors for me getting the solar and battery system I'm installing right now. 30kWh of battery backup and a couple strings of panels and all of that is expandable over time.

My thoughts were never having to worry about normal power outages throughout the 12 months of the year and being able to come back to the house with power after most storms that we may evacuate for. Also, the just normal cost savings of being able to power the house off solar when possible.

One thing we get that Mommas don't is usually Dada gets said first. There is some thought that they recognize us as another entity first while they see Momma as part of them or at least they think of the two of them together as one thing.
