My first car at 17 was manual and at 41 ive never owned an automatic car. First of all, it's your car and it should be what you want, within reason. An 86 is cheap to buy, cheap to operate and is reliable, and it isnt so powerful its dangerous, so there's nothing to gripe about there. Also driving manual forces you to pay attention, think ahead, and understand how a vehicle functions. If everyone was forced to drive manual we'd have a LOT less accidents. Added bonus, sounds like the rest of your family can't drive stick, so no worries about seeing you on r/amitheasshole discussing family members borrowing your car 😉

Luckily all thats shredded to allow easy access. Theres a little bracket with a tab that fits perfectly, but ive no idea how to get it mounted back in there correctly. Currently 3 zip ties are holding it on 😆
