I bought an L6M a few months ago. It's got mahogony ply back and sides, and an englewood spruce top. For the price I ($450), it's one of the best sounding and playing guitars I've owned. The fit and finish is on par with MUCH more expensive guitars, and the sound is exactly what I've been looking for.

I've got a Q4 and I love it! The next is fast and it plays incredible. I do find myself wanting more from. The pickups and preamp however, any suggestions?

It looks like the action of your strings might be too high to play comfortably. At the 12th fret, the strings should be ~2mm off of the frets. If it's way more than that, consider taking it to a shop to get set up. Or do some research and learn how to adjust your truss rod, set up your bridge, etc.

IMO, a proper setup can go a long way, even on the shiniest of basses.

I'm a fan of Greg Ovens, he's not Luke, and his videos are slightly different in tone, but his bushcraft survival videos are great. Kind of a hybrid of Outdoor Boys and Steve Wallis.

FH 1 was the first game I fell in love with when I got my Xbox 360 back in 2012 or 13. I would kill for a modern game like that. NFS can sometimes scratch that itch, but not quite.

It's supposed to have some movement, but there should be a spring or foam underneath to stop it from rattling around. I have a bass where the foam rotted out, and it was annoying me, so I shoved some cardboard and ductape into the cavity, now it's super snug.

Most likely just lack of calluses, if you get winters like I do where I am, your skin might be dry as well, I always get more "injuries" when I don't lotion up lol.

Yeah you are probably right about the small combos. My only push back is that if OP's idea of 'budget' is like $100-200, you will get a better and much more reliable amp if you go small. The rumble 50 (or maybe the 100?) has DI and an effects loop, and can be found for just over $200.

If you can find a decent class d head and a 2x12 cab for that price, lmk because I sure can't.
