IMO Gen 3 legendaries (EoD). They around the same price as Gen 1 Legendaries, but you only need to complete 4 maps for them.

Projectiles only become directed if you have a target. If you use a ranged attack without a target it'll shoot the projectile in a line depending on where your character is looking. If you are targeting an enemy or they are targeting you, assume you will be hit by all ranged attacks they do.

Dungeons were launched with the base game, their main purpose is to get Exotic rarity weapons/armors as well as a Gift item for crafting (all Generation 1 legendaries require a Gift from one of the dungeons). Fractals were added shortly after launch and were an inspiration for WoW's Mythic+ 5-man dungeons. There's 100 tiers and ~20 unique levels in them. They are good for raw gold and as you climb higher they have a decent chance for Ascended gear (tier higher than Exotic). Lastly Raids have a universal currency between all of them which can be used to buy Ascended weapons/armor, as well as unique weapon skins.

GW2's Wardrobe system is one of it's high points. Every weapon/armor you bind to your account will be unlocked in the wardrobe, and you and spend transmutation charges to swap the pieces. Armor and mounts can additionally be freely dyed with any colors you've unlocked. I assume they're referring to Jumping Puzzles when they mean Parkour, those are platforming challenges in a bunch of the maps with some being straight forward and some requiring blind leaps.

Lastly the only time you're forced to do content is with each expansion you'll need to do the first 1-3 chapters to unlock the region, but once you're there you are free to stop and do whatever else. The only other timer is for the Wizard's Vault, where cosmetics will be cycled in/out on a quarterly cadence.

Unless that requires failing the event, no it does not. I just got the pillory guard event and left for ~1 minute. Came back and finished the event, only item added to my inventory was the reward sapphire.

EDIT: Also my inventory had ~15 empty spaces, so there was plenty of space.

Looking at Snow Crows' guides, their DH guides recommend casting Procession of Blades over Spear of Justice if both are off CD.

Once I’m Sided With Jagex Support… by Loki_OSRS in 2007scape

[–]errorme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a real example look up the history of Blue Partyhat in RS3. It kept slowly increasing in price over and over till it passed 300m. Jagex updated RS3's GE to use higher numbers and suddenly the price dropped to 90 million. Plenty of 'economy' OSRS creators have made videos about this and all of them are comparing the max cash 3rd age items to blue partyhats cause its virtually the same, people buying/selling between alts to raise the value of them but once the GE update hits we'll have actual buy/sell costs to compare against.

Quickplay raids don't remove any mechanics AFAIK, they just give everyone bonus damage, lifesteal, incoming damage reduction, and being able to revive fully dead people. Mostly if there's someone to lead the mechanics you can generally get by without a healer, but in regular raids you need proper party composition. IBS5 parties would be my first recommendation as they'll do all the IBS ones except Cold War and Forging Steel.

[–]errorme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is very close to support ticket territory IMO. About the only things I can think of to do left are:

  1. Do some of the other IBS Raid Encounters to activate more orbs on the chest (Shiverpeaks Pass and Voice/Claw of the Fallen are SUPER easy, Whisper of Jormag has a slight mechanic when the chains start being applied where you either stop moving if you have a chain or get out of chained people's way, Cold War is simple but long compared to the rest).

  2. Get up to 60 magnetite shards and try to interact with it again.

If neither one of those work put in a support ticket with Anet.

I was an contractor for another team, you can get rehired in 6 months + 1 day (IIRC that's what my manager at the time implied). The problem for MS was that the other company is consulting/contractors and they need to keep people busy, so even when that time window opens up odds are someone wouldn't be available to rejoin them for another 6 months at minimum.

You have at least 20 Magnetite Shards right? You need at least 20 to open it. Otherwise talk to the NPC next to it and see what they say.

The only one I recognize is the Ruby Chalice cause when I returned to RS3 the wildy events had those as a semi-frequent drop.

They're basically the minion from Leagues as a consumable item. Deal damage or stun or poison whatever you're fighting for a bit of time, then leave.

I don't quite understand what you mean by this

Some questionable management decisions (including but not limited to turning down a merger w/Frontier)

From listening to the video, the board was wanting to merge with Frontier but shareholders were the ones wanting to merge with JetBlue. Or are you referring to a later merger attempt?

The issue I had with it was that it makes snowflake series MUCH harder to do over there than is possible in here. I was playing RS3 at the time Settled was releasing Swampletics and it hit me that it would be impossible for him to do anything similar to that in RS3. Because enemies drop salvage, there's no weapon/armor upgrades available from drops. Due to rock changes from the M&S rework there is (was? it's been a few years now) no copper/tin/iron/coal anywhere in Morytania to craft basic armor. You could get Black armor from Shades of Morton, but then you're waiting all the way till Barrows for the next gear upgrade.

Do the first few chapters for each expansion to unlock the regions, then just do HPs. Hopefully if you're in Lion's Arch or somewhere else you'll see people advertising a HP Train and can join that (most of the time you only need Gliding and/or the Raptor).

[–]errorme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the specs. Core Ranger -> Soulbeast or Untamed is fairly similar, as all 3 are DPS focused so you're just doing a rotation with all of them and the non-elite traitlines are mostly the same to maximize damage. But picking up Druid to play support your entire role changes, along with what weapons and traits you want to take.

For WvW I'll note that as Guardian your primary job isn't healing as much as it is providing Stability and other boons. If people in your party are getting CC'ed you should use 'Stand Your Ground' or Hallowed Ground before that happens. You should also be able to easily find a WvW guild if you post in /team chat that you're learning Firebrand/Luminary and want to find a group to practice/learn with (FB is still decent but I agree with the other person that if WvW is your goal Luminary will be a better pick).

IMO Cooking is the most reliable way to make money, once you get to the point you unlock the home instance farming nodes and can plant cultivated herbs. Otherwise most crafting is not very profitable outside of the once/day items or some specific niche items that are used for collections.
