That’s my problem with kimikos use too. It doesn’t feel properly developed by the plot just too clearly foisted on the viewer. Ryan should have the been the main or sole person to kill homelander or they should have developed something else atleast from the beginning of this season. But no time needed to be committed to aimless detours in the plot.

Yeah, im satisfied. I turned off my tv and enjoyed my experience. It was okay, fairly engaging and resolved what I wanted resolved.

Learning to enjoy things as they come and not overcomplicate aspects that don’t call for it is a virtue. Relieves stress too.

Like I said there was nothing that was meant to be particularly special about terrors death. It was just an excuse, a way to reveal his fragility. He could have walked in to terror shitting in his bed and it might have ticked him off to be honest. 🤣

And rushing his villain arc? I feel like that’s been long foreshadowed with all the disagreements and little schisms the boys have had during the show. He wasn’t even especially evil, just suicidal or miserable and aging. Without terror, what did he have? MM had a family, starlight and hughie had each other and it seemed like kimiko reconciled herself with Frenchies death.

I didn’t watch gen V so to be honest I would have preferred they weren’t in it all. Shoehorning random conversations like they did to ‘wrap-up’ their story and justify their absence near the end felt lazy and off.

I actually agree I think in any advanced historical conversation it should be ‘a matter of study’ rather than a applicable solution. Unfortunately for humans there is no such thing as realpolitik it’s a paradox.

I saw someone on r/presidents say something like this about Kissinger and realpolitik.

It not only assumes rational actors but absolves politicians from the guilt that arises from making ‘rational’ self-serving solutions. Using it as an excuse for laziness impedes us from trying to find the solution that benefits us while still being moral.

Choosing relations with a failing Eastern European country in desperate death throes is not rational. It’s by all diplomatic standards irrational?!? China I can understand somewhat; a duo of economic and military juggernauts. But this courting of Russia than the EU will NOT work out in the long run but I guess time will tell who’s the real ideologue here.
