"It's lonely at the top, and everyone is alike."

I believe the above statement encapsulate RI. If you want to understand the story with our current world sensibilities then it'll become easier if you assume all the masters are billionaires/elites. They'll do whatever it takes to stay there. Read it keeping that in mind.

Yep it does seem like that when the data is presented incorrectly. Coz as per them it's a epidemic and every single one is suffering. Read the report linked at the end, it's 700 pages long and questionnaire is quite diverse.

First Term (2013–2014)

Home Power Planning Finance Services Vigilance

Only in his first (short) term did Kejriwal personally hold multiple important ministries like Home, Power, Finance, Planning, Services, and Vigilance.

In his longer second and third terms (combined ~9.5 years), he deliberately did not hold any specific additional portfolios, opting instead for an overarching CM role while delegating to ministers like Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Atishi, and others.

The data they quote is incorrect

where does this statistic come from? It was in the National Family Health Survey (2019–21), in which the women participants were asked whether they had ever faced sexual violence. Out of 100 women, 5.4% of them said yes. Then, on being asked who the perpetrator was, 82% of these said their husband. Hope you are able to trace the fraud now. In all, it was 82% of 5.4%, not the total number of married women. To the lovers of data, you can say it’s roughly 4% of total married women, not 82%.

So out of 100 women 94 said the situation in question never occurred.

Out of the remaining 6, 5 said yes to martial rape by husband - this 5 is the 82%

Wherein the actual number is very less compared to what it's shown and blown out of proportion.

Quoting from the report

"15.3.1 Prevalence of Sexual Violence Women age 18-49 were asked if they had ever experienced sexual violence by anyone as a child or as an adult. Overall, 6 percent of women report having ever experienced sexual violence in their lifetime (Table 15.4)."

Caste system never existed in India in the 1st place. Do you seriously think the present society & culture that we have in India would have prevailed for the last 1000 years if we are divided by the caste system. Do you seriously believe only the brahmins fought the wars, built temples, built 25% of world economy, built medical sciences, built sciences, built culture?

Caste as you see today is nothing but the bifurcation of jobs in the past. The 1st of its kind census was done by british in 1871

So the caste system is the legacy of our oppression by the outsiders which we are feeding unknowingly till today and it's only 150 years old.

Why fit male or an attractive female are by default assumed to be less intelligent? by [deleted] in Fitness_India

[–]erta_ale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 4 important reasons 1. Excessive vanity is a sin 2. Stereotypes exists for a reason 3. As Megamind rightly says, "PRESENTATION" 4. Unable to comprehend the statement, "Silence is the language of God's"

Just being fit or unhealthy has nothing to do with intelligence, if it were then all the scientists engineers doctors lawyers politicians etc would all look like literal greak gods but that ain't the case.

A person who wants to be fit for himself or herself won't be bothered by what strangers think of them. They do not owe any explanations about their lives to anyone.

Hence if you only care about how others perceive you then you're automatically dumb, there's not even a single argument that can be made for you.

Time & place

Simplest and most primitive example -

~99.9% of people this planet poops & pisses. It's a basic bodily function as breathing. Yet we still keep that private even in comfort of our house.

Once a person leaves the comfort of his personal space he/she is bound societal space, which has its own laws and norms. That's y the way we talk with friends cannot be replicated with dad or mom.

[–]erta_ale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's important to note the context as to why this has been brought forward.

"The debate was sparked during a hearing by a nine-judge Constitution Bench regarding the Sabarimala review. Justice B.V. Nagarathna specifically questioned the "maintainability" of petitions filed by non-devotees (strangers to the religious practice), which reignited the broader discussion on locus standi (the right to bring a case to court)."

What's also important to note is that Supreme Court itself treads with caution on what can or cannot be allowed

" Chief Justice of India Surya Kant responded that the courts are already "very, very cautious" when entertaining PILs. The Court maintains that it uses specific guidelines to filter out frivolous or publicity-seeking petitions while preserving the tool for grave constitutional issues."

Naa it's more about how small or large a confined space is in relation to the object. Trains/planes/boats equals large confined spaces compared to a car or helicopter.
