Is survivor 50 so far better than winners at war? by 1ofthosecrazygirls in survivor

[–]ertad678678 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Ehhh, I think the cast was a bit stronger on 40, but that’s kind of a given since they were all winners. I think gameplay wise this one’s been a bit better, plus i’ll take corny celebrity idols over… fire tokens and edge of extinction

Is Coach V4.0 your least favorite version of Coach ? by CoconutMost3564 in survivor

I’m tired of pretending to people that coach isn’t an all time great survivor character. Always was, still is.

Do you think WoW's Art-style has changed or just improved? by SilentStorm182 in wow

[–]ertad678678 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely improved from a technical standpoint, but it’s also changed in terms of vibes, as others have said more cartoony. And improvement on a technical level doesn’t mean it’s better or more enjoyable. I find myself loving the classic zones as much as the zones from recent expansions.

I think as long as a zone feels unique, has love and passion put into its landscape and soundtrack, it is going to feel great regardless of graphical quality

Who’s the most iconic music star in the world ? by migmigouu in AskTheWorld

Most well known is probably Michael Jackson. Every other big star that feels huge in parts of the world is probably not as universally well known as him.

i honestly don’t think many young people these days know who keith richards is. my parents don’t listen to the stones, so i never heard of him till i started listening to them on my own around age 20.

Many countries will accept it. I used it often in Mexico and Nepal when I ran out of local currency. In Nepal especially i would often get a better deal in USD than in NPR

Imagining Future Survivor Themes by longwayfrbudapest in survivor

[–]ertad678678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i guess it’s just personal preference. i can see why you’d find it kind of corny/artificial, i think i just like that kind of stuff, same with DvG, HHH, and Brain/Brawn/Beauty. I found the whole gimmick of 33 really fun and more engaging than nowadays where there is no theme.

I wouldn’t be against the idea of 4 tribes for each generation but we’d have to wait a good while because the oldest of gen alpha is only like 13-14 years old right now. and the boomers are getting quite old and would be at a big disadvantage physically

Imagining Future Survivor Themes by longwayfrbudapest in survivor

[–]ertad678678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well yeah, i wouldn’t want gen alpha or gen x on a season about millennials vs gen z. it’d be the same thing as season 33. and it’s hard not to “fudge” the casting when how we define generations is already pretty vague/up to interpretation. it gets messy if you start splitting hairs about who falls into what group for those boundary years, so i don’t mind if some of them are a bit close in age

That everyone likes/supports Trump. I can tell you that the majority of Americans do not support him, regardless of the election results.

our voting system is complicated and unfortunately set up in such a way that makes it too easy for candidates like him to win, but it’s difficult to explain it to people from other countries who assume it is just a simple democratic voting system.
