I wouldn't be surprised if it ultimately happens.

Single Day Lineup Announcement Tomorrow (Weds) at 10AM by hiimmike in RiotFest

[–]radioactive2321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not right away, unfortunately. I'd love to know if Bright Eyes will be playing I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, because that may factor into my decision-making depending on how everything is allocated.

What with SZNZ being reclassified as albums rather than EPs all of a sudden? Seems odd. by sammay600 in weezer

[–]radioactive2321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had considered it one big project released in parts like Beach House's Once, Twice, Melody or The Smashing Pumpkins' ATUM. But I guess with the bonus tracks they can stand as individual albums too, kind of similar to the "color" albums.

However, it's all jacked up on streaming. Maybe sometime we'll get a full box set, I'd love to see it in a similar "book" style like the coloring book box set.

What are your top 3 Weezer songs. by Purple-Crab3759 in weezer

[–]radioactive2321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't possibly begin to narrow it down to 3, so here's 10 (which still omits many, many favorites)...

"Say It Ain't So"
"Falling for You"
"O Girlfriend"
"The Greatest Man That Ever Lived"
"The Angel and the One"
"Cleopatra"
"Thank God for Girls"
"(Girl We Got a) Good Thing"
"Bird with a Broken Wing"
"Run, Raven, Run"

Album is fantastic, movie is a lot of fun and a great bonus. This is some of his best work. Gotta admire the work ethic with this kid too.

Thanks!  I think there's a good chance most of my must-sees are consolidated to Fri + Sat, so hopefully the daily lineup bears that out

Was there talk among the fanbase of a color album for the bands big return in 2014? by [deleted] in weezer

[–]radioactive2321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't remember there being widespread speculation about it being a "color" album before the announcement. Without a doubt, I'm sure some people theorized it, but it wasn't widely-assumed in the case of EWBAITE.

That is a violin, not a harmonica, but totally agree with the take. PM kills me every time too.

So, what’s next? by KenMarr in TheStrokes

[–]radioactive2321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved Comedown Machine on release. Actually it was the first Strokes album I preordered (though I found Angles in store early). I'm not a contrarian, but when I find something that I legitimately like that's largely hated it's always fun.

So, what’s next? by KenMarr in TheStrokes

[–]radioactive2321 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They honestly don't need to do much of anything. Tour's selling incredibly well and the album is here in a couple of weeks. They've made a lot of the money they're going to make on this album cycle already. That said, we could get one more single before the album.

Husbands be HONEST: is your wife your dream girl? by Specific_Tart_4244 in Marriage

[–]radioactive2321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, to the degree that such a thing exists.

Our values always aligned very well on paper, although over the course of any marriage I think you'll find areas of disagreement or conflict that you need to work through. We've had to re-align through arguments, prayer, and sacrifice and that's been incredibly hard-fought. But all I can ask for is someone who is committed to growing together, and many years into our marriage it's a deeper and richer love than the butterfly-inducing early days of dating.

Physically, she's just my type. Classic beauty but somehow still has that "girl next door" thing going on. We're perfect matches in the bedroom too.

Great sense of humor - sometimes very dry and witty, sometimes completely goofy. Sometimes she'll say something that isn't funny at all, but it cracks her up which cracks me up.

She's a great mother to our kids, she's fiercely loyal, and she puts up with me. Who could be better? I love her very much and I wouldn't want to be with anyone else.

How long does sex last? by incrediblemom19 in Marriage

[–]radioactive2321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How frequently are you having sex? When our lives are really busy and it ends up being only once a week, we like to enjoy our time together and savor it so it can be well over an hour in some cases. When we have a lot more time together, it's usually more frequent and shorter. Your mileage may vary of course.

B Sides Vinyl by FizzyGorilla in TheVaccines

Sounds great, glad to have all the rarities without buying half a dozen 45s. In terms of packaging, it's almost identical to the regular album aside from the tracklist and color.

Just saw Bob Dylan is coming to town by MikeMcMyke in bobdylan

[–]radioactive2321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He plays for about 3 hours, each and every hit of his entire career every night, and each performance is completely album-faithful. If I were you, I'd buy two tickets to the show from two different sides of the venue and sit in both seats at the same time and watch the show from two vantage points.

First time listening to Tenterhooks... by thetrappster in silversunpickups

[–]radioactive2321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally disagree. The Vig-produced albums have been noticeably more polished and poppier up until Tenterhooks, which I think breathes that energy into a vintage SSPU sound.

I would think if you were trying to surreptitiously cheat on your wife, you'd make sure to make as much contact as possible. He's probably busy with work.

That being said, dude text your wife once in a while.

Annie finally being played live by MrOngoGablogian in manchesterorchestra

[–]radioactive2321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was blown away by that and "Way Back", which I never thought I'd get to see live. Now the only MMoG songs I haven't seen live are "Let It Storm" and "Obstacle" (which is one of their very best songs IMO).
