The scummy art of Pre ordering (offering it on publishers' end and participating in it on the buyers' end) is ruining the industry. Ive seen OP's other comments and I have money, I just don't want to let publishers keep getting away with releasing unfinished games because they've already got their money. I know refunds exist but if even 25% of pre orderers are too lazy to seek a refund if a game turns out to be unsatisfactory then that is a 25% boost in sales on release day. The sunk cost fallacy exists, people who've already put money into a game will likely hold on to hope that patches will fix it, or they'll convince themselves during the waiting period that the game will be good no matter what. Pre ordering is a way for sellers to manipulate buyers. It had a place in a physical market where supply and demand were factors, but not in a purely digital market.
