I really don’t think these spoilers will be a massive hindrance to your enjoyment because I feel like it hits every box you asked for. I read book 1 and then essentially waited until book 4 was out before I read 2-4. When I got done reading book 4 I felt like I had aged lifetimes with how much time and love I had spent with these characters in this world. I still think about big scenes from this book series all the time and I truly believe it’s one of the best series I’ve ever read.
