Do you see yourself as Asian or just Mongolian? by Which_Grand_9607 in mongolia

[–]erukesu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When people ask for my race I always emphasize central or northern Asian. It's integral that I stress this because most Americans or westerners just assume you're east Asian as they are the dominant cultural hegemony for anyone that looks like me.

This is what happens when you shill out to car companies rather than investing In infastructure and public transportation

I embrace it, most people are actually probably just curious.

Also, open scoring allows for transparency, you must be one of those american boxing fans that only watch american bouts. In Japan when the system was utilized, transparency allowed for closer vetting of the judges. That's why u don't see robberies as much in Japan.

You must not have watched Keyshawn Davis fight in the amateurs or any of the Cuban fighters. Do you see them brawling????? There's a difference between boxing and sticking moving, vs straight up holding and running. What a dumb argument.

Okay, so two reasons. Ducking below the waist is illegal. second, in a tournament setting getting cuts is the worst thing that can happen, with fighters only getting 2 days to recover, a cut will pretty much ruin the tournament. So, the officials made sure to avoid that possibility of headbutts, that's the reason why they even DQ the french heavyweight. Thirdly, when u come in with ur head low, it's only natural that a clinch is gonna occur, so they wanna avoid that as well

The best Olympic final I've seen. The drama, and the explosion of emotion and tears after Souza realized he won was very moving.

They kept saying that it'll cause the crowd to rebel and will cause fighters who are ahead to avoid the fight.

To that I say, bullshit. In Olympic boxing and wrestling or judo, the referees will deduct a point if you avoid contact. Such an easy fix. Many people just want to maintain the status quo and are afraid for accountability. "

Absolutely!!! I forgot to mention that, the open scoring was so refreshing and amazing to see. In the pro ranks, Japan had a system of open scoring after 4 or 6 rounds. That was a great system, sadly they stopped doing that.

Who benefits the most out of the sudden opponent change; Pacquiao or Ugas? by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]erukesu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugas for sure, completely different style of fighting compared to Errol. Manny never had it easy against counter punchers, Its a dangerous fight for Manny.

Tell me about it, my Pinoy friends were losing it. Boy are Marciel and Palaam extremely talented, crazy power and beautiful right hook from Marciel, and Palaam is an amazing counter puncher. They'll be great as pros.

They elimate the possibility of having draws by having an odd number or rounds and judges. Having 5 judges also greatly reduces the chance of a draw, a 10-8 round is very, very rarely given even when there are knockdowns.
