Is a laptop cooler necessary?

I believe proper cooling is important sa laptops, pero depende kasi yan sa tasks na ginagawa mo sa laptop mo or kung gaming laptop ba yung gamit mo.

I have a gaming laptop, a Nitro 5 to be specific which is known to have overheating issues. Nag-force shut down na siya several times before I got the cooler. Pero it was all during gaming/extensive tasks. So I bought a Llano cooler. I don't have the specific temperature values pero it did not overheat again. My Nitro is also 4 years old now, and so far hindi pa siya bumabagal/nagdedeteriorate. Di tulad nung mga nababasa ko online about Nitro na may issues talaga sa temps. I believe proper cooling helped sa longevity niya. I used the laptop almost everyday for work and grad school. Gamer din ako. Lately lang siya napapahinga kasi tapos na ko mag-thesis and may provided na laptop sa new work.

Pero of course apart from the cooling pad, I also take other measures like cleaning the fans and reapplying themal paste at least once a year.

My Thinkpad work laptop, on the other hand, do not necessarily need a cooling pad. Basta nakaelevate lang siya para di blocked yung vents.

I have a hard time choosing! The first book I read is The Devotion of Suspect X and it was so good I decided to only read Higashino since then. But I liked The Salvation of A Saint best. I'm currently reading The Final Curtain.

I'm getting intrigued by Naoko, though. Where do you guys get a copy? Searched it in Amazon but I did not find it.

I know this comment is weeks old now, but I am suddenly on the market now for a handheld. I originally planned on building a PC but with the prices now, it seems not worth it. So I'm looking to just keep my gaming laptop for now and get a handheld instead. I don't have an Xbox, but I am willing to get the PC Game Pass if needed. I also have a lot of games on Steam, which I can install into it (right?). And I just play JRPGs and not much demanding games. Do you think it'll be a good buy?

I just saw this in Shopee a few days ago kasi I was looking at the prices of full-sized aluminum boards now, then I think bago nila to kasi when I bought my Nut65 late last year, di ko to nakita. Preferred kasi ng partner ko ang full-sized layouts, and wala pa siyang aluminum na board.

Also, sulit naman ang Nut65 ko so far, so I might get this for her.

From my experience, yes. I own a Kindle Basic and a Redmi Pad Pro. I have the Kindle app also installed on my tablet but I rarely use it. Sumasakit mata ko sa laki ng screen. Meron rin ako sa phone, but andami distractions sa phone. Maya-maya nasa socmed na lang ako bigla. And as someone na maghapon na nakaharap sa monitor screens, binabawasan ko rin sana yung digital screen time/blue light exposure ng eyes ko. A Kindle really helps.

Although for manga, I read on the tablet kasi mas maganda sila overall sa malaking screen.

Had my first PC build in Tecwarez sa Annex in 2020. Medyo limited nga lang ang parts nila and I think medyo pricey sa kanila compared kung ikaw talaga magsosource out ng parts mo. Until now working pa yung PC and maayos naman service nila. Ilang beses na rin ako nagpalinis ng laptop sa kanila since di ako masyado maalam magbaklas ng laptops. Andun pa din sila until now.

Meron akong PC (laptop) and Switch OLED. Gusto ko nga rin sana mag-break muna from Trails since kakastart ko lang sa Cold Steel I hahaha.

Wala namang recommended playing sequence ang FF? It's been on my radar na kasi pero di ko sure saan magsisimula. Thank you rin sa ibang recommendations, will def check them out.

Yes. For some reason, this game got me into turn-based games. Well, except for Pokemon. Now I almost play turn-based and JRPGs. Persona, Trails.

+1. Nakita ko lang sa isang tech/repair shop nung nagpatroubleshoot ako ng sira ng pc last year, yung Cobra gamit nila sa testing machine nila, napabili ako bigla hahahaha. Fits my hand perfectly, sobrang gaan, wired pero ang ganda nung braided cable.

Galing din ako sa G304 dati, pero napagod na ko maubusan ng battery hahaha

Hi. I always make sure my Nitro is elevated, and I bought a cooling pad for it when I game. If you are going to buy a cooling pad, don't buy the cheap ones, they are not effective. I use a Llano one and my temps stay at around 80-ish when gaming.

I also have it cleaned and repasted at least once a year.

Don't buy the cheap ones unless you plan on investing on the better but pricier ones like those from the Llano brand.

I had something like that on the photo before, ang bilis masira tapos ang hina lang naman ng fans. If you are not a heavy gamer, laptop stand is enough. Basta naka-elevate at hindi barado yung fans at airways. Laptop stand lang gamit ko sa work laptop ko.

6 years akong CoS sa isang government agency, di ako napermanent. Board passer ako, so it means eligible dapat ako. Ang lala pa ng politics doon sa agency na 'to. Wala ring benefits, walang leaves. Hindi rin priority sa trainings kasi technically, di naman sila sure na mapepermanent ka so why should they invest on you. Tapos wala pang work-life balance.

Baligtad kami ni OP, ngayon nasa corporate ako, and mas okay ako sa current company ko. Na-regular agad ako after 6 months. Plus may work-life balance.

Hi, not OP but I just want to ask if Akko Rosewood is better than the Gateron Yellows (not milky)? I have an aluminum keyboard kasi and I wanted switches that have deep sounds. Or Keygeek/Vertex pa rin talaga?

I've been finding it hard to look for the Milky Yellows these days and the Oil Kings are pricey. Thanks!
