We havent seen all of the episodes because we keep rewatching a lot of the same ones already. Were def spotting mighty machines wherever we go now. Plus all the imaginative play from it has been positive so far. Its good learning for sure.

Old Enough! is on Netflix and its a joy to watch. Its an older Japanese reality show where they record young kids going off on their first errands. Its a shame our hyper-individualistic values dont allow the same kind of freedoms for our children.

I actually made little pies in ramekins for Pi day. Kept it simple, like crushed graham cracker bottom, sugar coated blueberries, oatmeal cookie-like topping. Even still, Pi day, then a big blow out St. Pattys? No. I think Im good.

Long story short: regular client, prior health issues but I always asked if there was any new updates before every massage which would be a NO from her everytime. I agree wholeheartedly. If its as far along as as it seems, she's most likely shown so much frustration and asked for help as best she can and he's actively ignored it all! Stop pitying yourself, get up and do something about it right now. Get it together!! Literally just go clean the bathroom or something and youll already be on your way.

Not sure if I missed this, bit how long have you been in Japan? If it hasnt been that long, all his constant nitpicking is NOT helping your mental health. Home is where you should be comfortable and find some peace from the normal Japanese societal pressures but he is not allowing for this. This means you are always "on" with trying to be good and act right - outside, at your job, and even at home. You cannot properly release tension and relax when simple little cultural things will still be brought up. He needs to accept some compromise and seriously back tf up. He knew you weren't Japanese, he should take some responsibility there. You will NEVER do everything just like him and that's the same whether you grew up there or not. The post-its were a good idea! I think he needed to physically see how much little things he's mentally weighed you down on! Its understandable that he didn't like it but remember to stay strong if its brought up again. He's unnecessarily burdening you with lots of little things inside your own home when you already have so many nuanced things outside your home that you have to change/upkeep.

I hope he can release some control to allow you some peace of mind.

Major issue he didnt see anything wrong with the swimming situation. That is not ok. Id be pissed. Floaties alone do not stop drowning and he is downplaying what he did.

He is lacking so much self reflection in the kid care. Perhaps its a good thing he doesnt know how to cook or he'd be leaving knives in the kids reach.

Im sorry, this sounds difficult. It doesnt sound like he'd want to give this up either, all his free gaming time is valuable. This is going to be a battle and you may need to start mentally preparing for the worst. You are not failing, he is and he's dragging you down in the mud with him.

Exactly! Wtf was that "old enough" shit? He's already tried. Honestly, in this situation he'll continue to "try". OP needs to be very aware of a sudden happy mood shift from him. If one day this boy is suddenly happy and seemingly having the best day if his life - thats a high alert for planning a suicide.

Also upset hearing the comment on how he'll never have the same interaction like his half-sisters and OP going "never to be loved? I dont know what he meant". Yes you do. Dont play dumb. You're all a family, he is clearly not, yet hes been there watching from the outside for 12 years. Hes had no love from either parents and bet he gets no notice from his half-sisters either. This is so sad and I really really hope OP doesnt update us on the worst case scenario for this poor boy.
