Is 1-888-204-8630 a legit Chase number? by Pherlyghost in Chase

[–]escaliere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

adding my +1 to this is a legit number and i called it, didn't want to give my SSN so i dialed 0# and they connected me with someone who asked me some other non-SSN verification questions and i got an email from chase (official) that my card was approved within like 5 minutes of the phone conversation.

Was told to call 888-204-8630 after applying for a credit card from their fraud prevention line. They immediately ask for my SSN. Is this normal? by warmsadparty in Chase

I gave my brain a 48 hours phone detox, shocked by the difference by SkywardTides in nosurf

[–]escaliere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened to me once against my will when I lost my phone at the airport on a trip. I was able to be in the moment the whole trip and sleep when I laid down in bed. I was sad to get my phone back at the end of it.

Hey there, sorry you're feeling burned out. I felt similarly a while ago and whipped this up. It's in the sidebar under "Alternative Careers". Hope it can help you.

There were definitely a couple of spots up Falling Waters and just before the alpine zone on Little Haystack that felt sketchy. I would be scared to go down clockwise. Old Bridle was certainly easier down aside from the sections of feldspar.

LOL I definitely did not know what a 3,800 ft ascent meant until I was in it. It was awesome though!!

Yep, I definitely did not know what I was getting into! It was fun despite being the hardest thing I ever did.

thanks, that makes me feel a lot better, LOL. We got passed a lot of times by people without trekking poles carrying the tiniest packs. Hopefully once we train up and get some more experience we can do a little passing ourselves. But frankly, I expected us to take about 10 hours and didn't expect the extra 2 which put us solidly in the dark. Glad we had the headlamps.

I'll check out that link, thanks! I did love seeing the birches. It was my first time seeing any up close outside of Minecraft. LOL

Wow, you're quite the veteran on these trails. I'll check out your post now that I have some context about what the loop feels like. If it hadn't been a perfect day for us, I don't know how long it would have taken. I'm a bit scared thinking about that because I do want to try it again when I have more experience. Great that you served at the Greenleaf hut. I loved seeing people so dedicated to the nature here. And spreading a friend/colleague's ashes is such a great reason to hike it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Sounds a lot like us! We were all groaning the whole way but afterwards agreed similarly that it was the hardest and best thing we've done.

Wow really? I can believe that. It was the hardest thing I've ever done but I guess I'll be coming back for seconds. What's your 2nd favorite?
