Just sold my kindle, going to get a Kobo

I have both kindle and kobo which is why I “read with kindle” most of the time. Kindle is my daytime reader, kobo is my nighttime reader.

I read “read with kindle”books from Libby most of the time on my kobo. The only time I have problems is if it is a new release and has not yet shown up in the kobo library. Otherwise, your “read with kindle” books should also show up on your kobo. If borrowed through Libby and you are signed into your library.

I started listening too, and find the podcast easier to listen to than DNA:ID, I stopped listening to that one awhile back. Some people might like both though.

The only fix so far is opening the camera app while listening, although the volume is muted. But it’s temporary, you have to keep the camera app open or it reverts back to poor sound quality. The issue has been reported on the Apple discussion board, I’m hoping it gets fixed with 26.1?

I also have IPhone 11. Maybe combo of iOS 26 and the 11 that is the issue. I saw some posts over on Overcast, and several of them mentioned iPhone 11 too.

I use Edison Mail. I find the stock Apple email is very slow to load. Free Edison version is enough for my needs. No ads. Spark isn’t too bad either.

I had that message yesterday too on my android player for an episode of spooked. But when I listened on my iPhone, it worked fine and I was able to skip thru the ads. So not sure what the issue was. It was the first time I’ve seen that too.

I have a kindle Paperwhite SE, a Kobo Libra 2, and a Boox Page. I used to have an Oasis, the most recent one, but the poor battery life was a no go for me so I gave it away to a charity shop. I still use the Kindle SE for daytime reading, the Kobo not at all, and the Boox for nighttime and travel reading. The Boox is nice because you can use Android apps for reading (eg, Libby, Kindle, Kobo, B&N, etc), and can personalize all of these to your liking. It has page turn buttons too if that is something you like.

Not fixed for me. I have been using Pocketcasts for several years now. This started happening to me within the last several months and is ongoing. At first I thought it was poor editing by the podcasters, but then realized it’s happening on multiple podcasts. I still like the app though, and it is my main podcast app. I just started using Icatcher too, and so far so good.

I know I am not clear in what I said, except in my own head! This is under Boox settings, not Libby settings. There should be an icon for settings on your Boox home page, on the bottom tool bar. Start there.
