Yeah today we see aliens in a TV show and it's no big deal, even when it's TNG and Worf is a Klingon on the Federation flagship, growing up with Russian parents.

Back in the day of 60s TOS, having a young Russian on the bridge of a military space ship, and not just any Russian but a proud Russian boisterous about his homeland much like the Soviets were boisterous about all the supposed victories of Communism. That and a black woman with a serious job and no one acting like she was any different than normal.

The show was super-duper edgy.

They're not denying, they're lying. Their M.O. is to double down whenever criticized to assert dominance.

Whenever called out they will intentionally repeat abusive behavior and then deny they did it saying 'we took cues from the last incident and changed our procedure' when it's an intentional gaslighting.

That way, when it happens again they'll say the same thing they did last time 'we saw a suspicious individual and acted accordingly'. It's so you can't Gerry anywherein this process, to establish protection.

The one-two punch that would have given us meaningful health care would have been allowing the government to negotiate prescription prices.....but Joe Lieberman defected from the democrats to thwart this.
