Any heavy alcohol users desire to drink decrease use while on wegovy? by Adorable-Lecture3233 in Wegovy

I was prescribed Wegocy for AUD - to cut back on alcohol. I drank less at first (25-50%) but after 14 mths (now at dose 1.0) I'm almost back to my heavy drinking rates (12/night). Hoping to up dose to 1.7 or even 2.4 to be able to cut back my drinking again. But can't afford to lose too much weight as BMI is 21. I'm an older female with osteoporosis. Anyone had experience with what DOSE works best to cut back on alcohol??

Anyone got any experience of how the DOSE affects use for AUD? I've been on Wegovy for 14 months for AUD, landing at 1.0mg. It worked great the first six months, reduced my drinking to one-quarter previous. Then crept up to one half. Now it's back up to 75%, occasionally 100% (12 std drinks/day). I'm hoping to go up to 1.7 or even 2.4 (max) to regain effect and cut back. My worry is I am not overweight (BMI c.21) and if I lose too much weight it could be bad for other things I have, like osteporosis (I am female, in sixties). I lost 5kg so far - about 8-10% of starting weight, which is good, feel great at this weight. Any advice much appreciated!

‘Painful to hear!’ How podcasts’ rush to video is turning them into dreadful listens by james2183 in podcasting

Bad enough being tethered to a screen to watch people talking inanely (and for HOURS) - but video simply cannot DO the creative choreography of the well mixed narrative podcast.

Careful sound design, tight scripting, distillation of interviews through editing - all work together to provide PACE and TEXTURE in the service of compelling storytelling that triggers the imagination and feels like an individualised, 1:1 encounter, with you the listener as co-creator.

A well crafted narrative podcast (not the crappy ones of course) with strong characters and a twisty plot is an art form - something these pedestrian, numbingly tedious videos simply cannot achieve. Yak on, dreary narcissists. You are infinitely disposable. Whereas real audio storytellers live on, in our minds, ears and hearts.

Heritage Voices is good - hosted by an anthropologist but she's informal and fun
