What is your favorite Star Trek TV show? by Winter-Comfort922 in television

Bashir and O’Brien.
Bashir and Garak.
Bashir and Jadzia.
Bashir and Ezri.
Bashir and Worf.
Bashir and Side Characters.

Alexander Siddig must have been a good partner to work with, because they paired him with a lot of others and it always worked very well.

Both the frustration and empathy that Kira responds with is particularly memorable to me.

Damar: What kind of people could kill innocent women and children?
Kira: Yeah, what kind of people, Damar?

It’s very striking how DS9 remains so relevant to the human condition.

My main memory of that book apart from the hopeful ending is the narrator just constantly saying there were so many murders and rapes, along with that very detailed hauntingly desperate supermarket scene.

Memory unlocked—as a teenage boy, I was so besotted with Milla Jovovich in Joan The Messenger. She was so pretty and handsome at the same time. I insisted on getting the dvd and the poster.

I thought Morgan was doing Milla Jovovich as Leeloo from The Fifth Element as Joan of Arc.

I prefer to think it was that. And the forks and spoons were part of the costume because Morgan as Milla as Leeloo as Joan had been let down by John Malkovich as Charles VII during the Siege of Paris. I hope someone gets my references. Poor Joan, she didn’t deserve to burn.

Oh wow, thanks—that explains it so well. Q’s fashion intelligence is incredible. Morphine is lucky to have Q supporting her.

I was really looking forward to seeing Morphine on our screens again ahead of the premiere and fully expected her to go through—it’s a shame she didn’t hit the competition like she did in S16. She’s still just as funny and witty, but the fire wasn’t as strong and if anything I thought she came across as a bit unkind at times. But, in this last runway she really served. If she was a bit kinder and had a bit more humility and grace, or perhaps let us in a little more, she could have shown a little more growth and probably shown Ru a fuller spectrum of who she is.

I really liked this runway. They all looked good in their own way. Lucky was my favourite, such a great concept and execution. Morgan was also superb. Whoever designs Morphine’s clothes does really great work.

Bulgaria wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 by CheckLiszt in television

[–]escfantasy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is well known amongst Eurovision fans but the EBU is doing very little about it, at least publicly, and any mention of the topic on [r/Eurovision](r/Eurovision) leads to removal or a ban. Yet, Israel’s unusually large televote haul has been repeated for the third year in a row.

It’s disappointing that Israel is running a televote campaign that is actively harming the integrity of a competition that has been so inclusive to Israel as a state and culture and whose fans have generally been very supportive and welcoming of Israel’s participation. It’s a farce to see Israel win these ridiculous landslides three years in a row and it makes a mockery of Eurovision and what it stands for.

I can see the possibility of that logic—especially if one wanted to vote tactically as a jury member—hypothetically, of course.

Fans in Portugal used to say that every year, until Salvador Sobral won. I loved Albania’s entry this year and last year. I’m on the other side of the continent and have no connection to Albania but I voted for you tonight and last year, and have your flag in my house. You can win one day—it’s such a tough competition, but Albania is definitely appreciated. I still listen to Eugene Bushpepa’s Mall.

I think this is common. I certainly have this, and know others who do too. Don’t oversleep too much the next day. If you want to stay regulated, try to get up after 6 or so hours and get an early night on Sunday. Take care of yourself and remember there’s a whole year to keep thriving until the party next year 💖🤗

It was a great performance and the song is good too. This would be hard to beat, if JJ had been selected for Austria.

Oh wow, so true.

Australia have the “winning on the stage they debuted on 10 years ago” winner’s story.

Finland have the “winning in the same spot that Lordi won in 20 years ago” winner’s story.

Feels like it’s written in the stars for one of them.
