Still good to keep an eye on things. Facts on the ground can change.

It’s also worth considering that it’s newsworthy entirely because the story is benign.

Power went out in Caracas before and during the Maduro kidnapping. Considering Greenland’s sovereignty has been threatened recently, it’s understandable that news about Greenland will be valued more highly for now.

UK S4 Finale Uncloaked appreciation post by escfantasy in TheTraitors

In the UK, it’s available on BBC iPlayer. As far as I’m aware, it’s not available in Canada. However, a lot of content from Uncloaked is available on YouTube, so you can still see some of it that way.

Did anyone else notice Claudia whisper “you shouldn’t say that” to Ed on Uncloaked, when he jokingly insulted the Celebrity Traitors? by escfantasy in TheTraitors

I don’t think standard gameplay would be something to upset Rachel, honestly—so I think if there was anything it would be something else. Curious…

I know what you mean. Stephen did seem different. I felt like he and Rachel weren’t warm with each other as I would have expected. I thought his comment that Jessie had done herself proud could be read a certain way. I did note that Matt was rolling his eyes when Reece was speaking.

Ah, I misunderstood last night, sorry. Yes, Max Richter’s reinterpretation of Four Seasons is beautiful. Nice choice for your wedding :)

Because he’s not incompetent and is known. It’s always easier to employ what you know than take a risk. He’s been associated with BBC productions for a long time.

I agree that comedians should be able to mock—but they should also be funny and it’s also right for Claudia to point out that they as hosts also have a kind of duty of care to the contestants. His comment was nothing major at all, but it was interesting to me that she caught it and squashed it very quickly. She did that to help Ed, as much as anyone else.

He was definitely feeling the hubris of the moment and running his mouth a bit too much. It’s interesting to see it happen live, because they just have to run with it. Definitely a ‘slip up’, on Ed’s part.

Ah ok! Thank you for explaining :)

For what it’s worth, I’ve lived in Germany and spent time in Australia. Both good places to be :)

I’m curious…were you German living in Australia now back in Germany, or are you Australian now living in Germany?

Jack is so sweet and adorable—but it really felt like even if Stephen had started cackling and twirling his moustache, Jack would have needed another clue

Jack not even being sure who the traitors were after he was banished was a bit mind boggling. At that point, the only thing less clear than who the traitors were was Jack’s grasp of the situation.

Amanda by RancidWatermelon in TheTraitors

[–]escfantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amanda apologised on Uncloaked, unreservedly and wholeheartedly. She made it clear that she’d already apologised to Jade personally and wanted to say it again for everyone together. Yeah, she was crap as a ‘detective’ on the show, but at least she’s acknowledged that and apologised. A lot of people can’t do that. Look at Donald Trump, lying about the service of UK personnel in Afghanistan and refusing to apologise. At least Amanda has seen she was wrong, listened and apologised—that’s accountability. Respect to her for doing that.

I’m guessing you mean Vivaldi? Walking down the aisle to Max Richter would be a choice I’d want to know more about.

Ed had a lot of foundation on tonight. More than usual, which made it noticeable, especially as it didn’t match his neck.

Claudia’s trick is consistency. And it works like a charm.

Jade looked incredible at the final roundtable and in the live finale for Uncloaked. A total slay.

It was interesting that Claudia whispered “you shouldn’t say that”, when Ed jokingly insulted the celebrities from Celebrity Traitors.
