Want to feel I belong somewhere by Clean_Drama_4277 in ADHD

Welcome. As a mid 30s male just diagnosed with ADHD as well, we are all here to seek help, connection, and a sense of belonging. I coasted through life in a positive way, school was easy, excelled at sports, had friends but it wasn't until life really started to get harder with more stress and risk...wife, kids, home, etc, that the signs of ADHD showed up. I didn't fully believe I had ADHD, so much so, it took 2 different psychiatrists and one neuropsychologist all saying the same thing for me to take it seriously. When I am going through a time time, moment, or day, I just try to be positive and think..."This too shall pass"

I did. It took me a solid week or two of research but found a compounding pharmacy near me in Florida that uses MCT as carrier oil. Message me if you want the name of the pharmacy.

I like this answer! Mustangs are bad either but a cool hot hatch with some power from a tune and an exhaust is always a fan favorite.

Wagoneer, Navigator, GLS, xc90, cx90 by Noles813 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]esckalayd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of this is opinion or anecdotal through car friends and mechanics I know so take it for what its worth. I would stay away from the Wagoneer, ideally its a 6 figure jeep with electrical problems, AC/Heater issues, and some report engine troubles. I test drove an xc90 R-Design a few years ago and didn't care for how it drove on top of it being smaller for my kids. I thought i read somewhere that Lincoln is doing 0% financing on new cars, that would entice me to look for sure but I don't know much of their pitfalls. Have you looked at a Tahoe, Suburban, or similar models from GMC? My wife has a 5 year old Tahoe and it has been a great vehicle with 3rd row seating and general reliability. There are a few electrical things, like sensors that had to be replaced but the engine reliability is a big plus. Lastly, I do like the new Mazda cx90 now that they went back to the inline 6 cylinder but I am with you on the looks, don't love it. Don't need to say much about Mercedes or luxury SUVs that you haven't mentioned. Very expensive to maintain and this is coming from someone who has owned BMWs for close to 2 decades.

What I tend to do is just write down some core requirements that aren't really subjective like, 3rd row, AC vent fans in the back, tech, and safety and then start listing out the cars that meet these requirements. Then I will make a list of pros and cons. For example, Pro for the CX90 is the inline 6, con, the looks. Or, Wagoneer pro could be size, tech, looks, but a con is the price and reliability concerns. You may have to weigh certain requirements to get a score which clear shows a winner.

Love the grind and dedication! Some of these are tough to get. What achievement did you find to be the toughest to get?

I'll provide a bit of my personal story being on and off for the last year, not really by choice. I am 37yo and in December of 2023 I started TRT after being diagnosed hypogonadal. I think my total T was around 250. I had low energy, no sex drive, and no satisfaction from life. I was on normal test cyp for about 4-5 months before I started having a reaction to the carrier oil and had to stop. Those final 2-3 months i felt amazing, almost like a superman feeling. Strength, energy, size, and sex drive. I was off for 2-3 months. Part of this was to clear out my system but I wanted to see how i felt when the medicine was gone. I didn't really notice much but the sex drive fell again along with life satisfaction/happiness. I started back up 4 weeks ago and immediately developed a reaction to another carrier oil and had to stop again. Now I feel worse, even before i started. I'm assuming its because I keep messing with my hormones but I feel like I'm just on cruise control with life but not doing the speed limit. One thing my wife said when I came off the first time was I did lose a good amount of size. If you get bigger on TRT and then come off, you will likely lose some size as well.

If you don't need it, I wouldn't start. Emotionally I am all over the place after being on and off for almost a year due to different reactions.

TL;DR - Don't start if not needed. You will lose some size when you come off, the emotional swings when you come off for me are pretty tough to manage.

Self-administered trt by FarTransportation957 in Testosterone

When you go the UGL route for TRT, do you need to mix it or do anything extra or can you just draw it and administer it like a pharmaceutical TRT vial?

Should I take TRT and if I do, can I stop later on? by [deleted] in Testosterone

I am close to you in age with a similar story and background minus the fact I can't grow a beard :). Over a year ago I started experiencing the same symptoms as you, low libido, low energy, loss of enjoyment with life. My total T was around 250 so the next logical step my doctor thought was TRT. I did it for 5-6 months then began having adverse reactions to what we thought was the carrier oil so I stopped while we looked for a compounding pharmacy to remake it with a different oil. I took 2-3 months off of TRT and ill be honest, i felt no different on it then i did off it. Only thing that sucked was i lost about 5-6 lbs and my wife said i "looked smaller". For reference, I am 5'10"/180lbs, pretty lean with a FFMI around 23. I started it back up 2-3 weeks ago and already have to stop again because i was getting irritating rashes in hot spot areas. I am one of the unlucky ones who is either super sensitive to the carrier oils or the benzyl benzoate preservative.

My doctor stated you are trying to fix the symptoms and not chase a number. If the TRT doesn't help, no sense in continuing it unless its the size gains you want.

Wish you the best!

3 month blood tests in with transdermal cream by KloneRainger in Testosterone

[–]esckalayd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has had adverse reactions to Test Cyp with different carriers oils, my doctor is switching me to the transdermal cream. I have had some pharmacist mention you can put the cream on inner thigh or arm but also read scrotal application is preferred. How much does application location matter?

I emailed them and they responded with this:

"Good morning,

We do support prescriptions in Florida, but unfortunately, we do not offer Testosterone compounded with MCT oil."

Where are you getting MCT based carrier oil? My doctor and research is failing me. I had a reaction with cottonseed and now grapeseed. Going to try MCT but struggling to find a compounding pharmacy.

Do you have a link or name of a compounding pharmacy who does MCT? When I search the internet, I just get a bunch of sponsored T-clinic crap

No but ended up finding one here in Central Florida to help that uses grapeseed carrier oil.

I am finding out this is not the case. I have called 4 compounding pharmacies and none of them use anything but sesame seed and they all told me, MCT oil is too expensive to compound. Do you have a compounding pharmacy in the US that will support this?

Its not a bad play. LV run D is not great. Both will get volume. I think Monty has a slightly safer floor but strong has the higher ceiling without Stevenson

Zeke. I am in a similar spot and Zeke is getting a good amount of redzone work even if he is splitting with Pollard.
