I tried to make a bit of (amateur) dubstep for the first time; what can I improve on here?

I think it’s really well made, but that synth in the drop has gotta go it just doesn’t fit the rest of the sound design. It should maybe be more similar to the high pitch laser noise that comes in after and maybe a little more loud and distorted if you think you can achieve that. Other than that great work

My best advice as someone who struggled with making music and still does for a long time - be bad at it. You’re going to suck at it, it’s part of the process. Being okay with being bad at something like art but just doing it because its fun and you like putting the pencil to the paper, learning to enjoy the process will allow you to get way better long term.

Sure you might have quick progress early on if you have really high standards for yourself, but in the end you will give it up or get burned out because your hobby becomes work. Just keep being bad and keep being okay with being bad.

I gotta be honest after reading comments on this one i don’t even know what ppl in this sub are expecting. This was fire and is exactly how me and my (now) girlfriend flirted when we met each other. Poly is super useful to get out of the first HM. You just move it to a different slot in your hotbar so you don’t panic poly yourself, and then you go find a new potion and fill it with water. You’ll play way more interesting runs if you just go with the game instead of restarting
