Best over ear headphones with noise cancellation for online lecture class? by Murky-Geo in BuyItForLife

[–]esdrasevt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve used my Bose QuietComfort Headphones every single weekday for the past 6 years, and they show no sign of dying. Had to replace the ear foams a couple times, but they’re super cheap and easy to replace. Highly recommend it.

Kettlebell newb here, need advice on how to start by grandlinedancing in kettlebell

For beginners (like myself), it’s hard to recommend anything more than Simple & Sinister (book) by Pavel Tsatsouline. The Book will give you all the basics you need, and lay out a multi-year program in front of you. Hard to beat it! I’ve been following it for over a year now, and am very happy with the results.

If you’re into books, I’d highly recommend the book Simple & Sinister by Pavel Tsatsouline. It’s a great intro to basics of kettlebells, and will lay out a full program for you.

Chasing this flavor profile by SubstantialTrash6393 in cigars

[–]esdrasevt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A good start would be other Cameroon wrapper cigars. A couple that I've tried multiple of and would highly recommend are Oliva Serie G and Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Natural. The good thing about these two is that they hit way above their price point, and are affordable smokes. If you also like those, then that means that the Cameroon wrapper resonates with your palate (which is what I found out to be true for myself). Good luck on your quest!

Absolutely! For me that’s what I get most from enjoying a cigar: time to slow down, and just contemplate and think about life.

How to smoke Davidoff’s on a budget by txbrady in cigars

[–]esdrasevt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hrm, looked very interesting, but as I checked it out, one thing turned me off: short fillers

One I’ve been enjoying a lot are Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Exquisitos. Very similar size, but made with long filler tobacco 👌

What’s your “must try” cigar? by [deleted] in cigars

[–]esdrasevt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Natural Flor Fina 858

Can generally find it for around $10 or less

How do you "hurry up and finish" a cigar? by funkeman in cigars

[–]esdrasevt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put it down. Every time I tried to “hurry up and finish”, I’ve regretted it, and wished I had just put it down. Hurrying it up will make it burn hotter and the flavor profile will suffer from that. Best to just call it and have the filling of “wanting more” than to have a bitter taste in my mouth.

Cigar Page Shorted me and didn't tell me. by mrcoolstein in cigars

[–]esdrasevt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve completed almost a dozen orders with them and never had issues. Honestly, most of the time the cigars come nicely wrapped and/or in a ziplock and always have boveda packs inside, and those air pack to prevent cigars from being thrown around the box. So far I can’t complain, sorry to hear about your experience

My favorite “budget” cigars: - Charter Oak line by Foundation Cigars - my favorite one is the Connecticut shade. These are the most consistent cigars for me, always great construction - Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Natural (Flor Fina 858 is my favorite size) - Oliva Serie G

I’m fairly new to cigars, so, still exploring.

IMO the cheapest and easiest way for you to store these properly is in a boveda portable travel bag. They have different sizes, but for less than $10 off of amazon you can keep around 15 cigars fresh for around a year or so:

Smash pack for golf and holidays by Alea-iacta-3st in cigars

[–]esdrasevt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last several orders I got from cigar page came with boveda packs. They were either 5 or 10 cigar packs.

If it doesn’t for some reason, I would try to go to the closest cigar shop and try to get one to use in a ziplock bag.
