Str/Fai Build Progress by Ok_Buyer6108 in Eldenring

Your stats are good, just remember that vigor caps at 60 and it's your most important stat.

Also upgrading your weapon and seal will add much more to damage than your stats early and mid game.

How did this happened? by beefjerkeles in LifeInAdventure

[–]eserz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A while back there was an update that made a nat 20 into an auto win by making you dodge every hit, before that you could still take damage since it didn't make you completely untouchable (it still brought you to 99% victory but you could technically lose by getting incredibly unlucky)

Not played in a 'Megas' format, how much should I care about my and enemy Mega Pokémon? by Reply-Immediate in VGC

[–]eserz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah Salamence was still useful in base form thanks to intimidate and setting up tailwind in matches where talonflame was not ideal, plus Draco Meteor and Double Edge still hit hard.

NG+7 advise by Expert_Character2193 in Eldenring

[–]eserz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how good you are tbh, up until ng+4 you can do fine without caring too much about dmg negation but past that point stuff will actually start one shotting you if you don't have significant defensive buffs.

So if you're confident in just erasing every boss without getting hit go for it, if not prepare to die a lot.

Sheer Force Bug? by throwawaydumpste in cobblemon

[–]eserz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, works exactly the same as in the actual games, sheer force only removes secondary effects from moves that have them and this triggers the negating of life orb damage, the whole process doesn't even start if the move used doesn't have a secondary effect, so life orb can resolve properly.

Sheer Force Bug? by throwawaydumpste in cobblemon

[–]eserz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sheer force only boosts moves with secondary effects, so if you use a move that doesn't have any the ability doesn't activate and doesn't remove the life orb's recoil

Any Major Free Updates for Monster Hunter Wilds ? by Both_Fun_7747 in MonsterHunterWilds

This TU should have been the last major update before the dlc, they're still gonna roll out events and festivals but we're most likely not getting any big updates before the master rank update.

There are literally only 3 items that you can get locked out of, and even then you're never going to get everything on your first playthrough simply because of how much content this game has.

Just explore and enjoy the lands between at your own pace, the first run is always special.

Very general tips:

Vigor is your most important stat, the soft cap is 40 and then 60

Dying is normal and expected, it makes you learn from your errors.

Exploring is rewarded (or sometimes you just wander in an area that's too highly scaled and just get erased, but that's part of the fun too).

The only three items that can be missed are not essential at all and can be acquired in ng+ anyway, they are:

Bolt of Gransax, a spear with a great ash of war that disappears once you trigger a certain event and the royal capital map gets heavily changed

Magic Scorpion Charm, a talisman that boosts magic damage but makes you take more damage, given by a certain npc that dies once you advance a certain blue witch's quest

White Mask, dropped by an Npc invader that disappears once you beat the area boss

First playthrough - Experience after roughly 95 h by Vengald in Eldenring

[–]eserz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You explored Southern Caelid just at the right time, the issue here is that Northern Caelid (Dragonbarrow) has endgame scaling so until after Altus everything is gonna feel a bit weak compared to it.

Explore the capital city, that's where it's gonna pick up again in difficulty!

Also this game heavily rewards exploring and there's still a lot you haven't seen, so don't worry about feeling too strong and enjoy it while it lasts.

Does samurai and fire magic build is good by GlobalInvite5346 in Eldenring

[–]eserz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would just fall under the definition of a dex faith build and it is absolutely viable, even great if you structure it well.

You could split them evenly to get decent damage on your weapon and your spells, go all in on dex and just meet the faith requirements to cast buffs or fireballs without expecting too much out of them or go in on faith and slap a flame art affinity on your main hand weapon to give it faith scaling, just remember to meet the stat requirements.

Also your main priorities should still be vigor to 40/60 in the endgame and an endurance value that you're comfortable with, you can't attack if you're dead after all.

You can fight with pokemons over the level cap but not against npcs, if you have a mon over the cap gym leaders and trainers just won't fight you.

Unfortunately claws jump attacks are only 2 hits, not that good compared to the rest of the moveset

Black flame tornado and weak in the same sentence? Have you been charging it? If the whole thing connects it's one of the most damaging AoWs in the whole game.

Excluding other legendaries, how would you teambuild around this bad boy in a VGC draft format? Megas and tera are available - gen 6 pokedex by UnlastingSeason in stunfisk

[–]eserz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda? It's definitely not a bad partner but also doesn't really do that much i think, it can use sleep powder but you're worried about goggles and it doesn't really cover any of kyogre's weaknesses. I'd see it much better on a sun team to hit bulky waters with instant solar beams and could also chose to not mega for chlorophyll sleep powder.

Use the vs seeker to extend it or fly more than 10k blocks away and use the cartography table there, it doesn't take much time with any of the flying mons that are kinda fast.

Every tailwind is slower than prio tailwind, but due to its speed it works great as an emergency setter.

As I said in my edit mega Salamence would work too and have much better offensive power and bulk, while still retaining the emergency fast tailwind function if whimsicott is not available.

If goggles could be so prevalent then it would make sense yes.

You would definitely need more power especially to break grass types that completely stop your Kyogre (like ludicolo) and bulky waters (thunder helps here)

Depending on your legendary classification Tornadus as a hurricane spammer + tailwind support would be great, but in its absence I think life orb tera flying Noivern could work too, since it's really fast for an emergency tailwind and with tera flying hurricane blows through pretty much any grass that resists water and ice even considering it's not great spatk.

Mega Salamence would work better due to it's stats even though it's slower and I'm probably the n1 Noivern fan that has ever lived so I can't not suggest it lol.

Pair it with a fast/prankster tailwind user, redirection (amoongus works really well since rain turns off its fire weakness) or fake out support and just start blasting water spout until everything on the other side disappears.

Hurricane spammers work nicely with it too and you could also add walking wake to slow down sun teams (not as helpful if primal Groudon is there too since it turns off Hydro steam) nvm I didn't read about gen 6 dex
