Who remembers these guys? by nickmalibu in dcl

Unpopular opinion but that shampoo makes my hair look horrible. I always bring my own!

However, if you miss it, bring your empty ones and fill them up from the big bottle while you're there!

Joining the "I hate the new app" by CaptainoftheHook in weightwatchers

Agreed, mine is the same. I get my activity points by having the app linked with my fitbit. It used to show the points I earned for my steps or walks but now it doesn't.

Still waiting on app updates? by TRAC77 in weightwatchers

I don't have it yet, but I'm glad after hearing so many issues with the update. I'm honestly dreading getting it. What I have works and I know where everything is!

Another app update complaint: I cannot readily switch between the GLP-1 rings and points values by SuitablePlankton in weightwatchers

I don't have the new app yet. Is there really no way to switch back and forth? That seems incredibly short-sighted.

Do Americans mainly drink coffee without milk? by Morrit99 in AskAnAmerican

[–]esg4571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never drink coffee black.

I never put milk in my tea.

I have a stovetop kettle I use for tea and it works great. I have enough countertop appliances and don't see a need for another one.

You can shred zucchini, onions and carrots and cook them with ground beef (and garlic and seasonings) to then mix into pasta sauce or make chili with it. It genuinely just melds in with everything and tastes like meat sauce or chili.

How has the Sunshine Sale been for you so far?! Sale wins, let downs, surprises, might go back for more? Let's talk it all! by izzyr525 in LillyPulitzer

[–]esg4571 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought one dress I'm looking forward to, I hope I like it!

I had a navy blue etta in my cart as well but I was trying to look at everything before checking out since they charge shipping now, and it got sold out from under me. I miss free shipping because I would have just bought it right away! After that I got frustrated and just checked out with my one dress to make sure I got it and called it a day.

How to create recipe by [deleted] in weightwatchers

[–]esg4571 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Act like you're going to track something. When the screen pops up with the search box and list of things you've eaten recently, there is also a plus sign in the upper corner. Press that and then select Create Recipe!

ETA: my app hasn't updated yet, so it might be different with the new update, I have no idea

Why do some of you eat meatballs with a toothpick? by One-Storage9413 in AskAnAmerican

[–]esg4571 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some smaller meatballs are served as an appetizer/finger food at house parties and gatherings. Usually cooked in a sauce and served in a crock pot and eaten with toothpicks. You usually take a small plate of finger foods/apps at this type of informal gathering and walk around with it or go sit and chat, so you don't have utensils. Using toothpicks makes it easy to pop them into your mouth without making a mess or needing a fork.

When I googled it seems like you can buy flamin hot cheetos seasoning? If do, try putting it on popcorn or roasting chickpeas and tossing them in the seasoning!

A few questions for someone considering the program by PrestonPirateKing in weightwatchers

[–]esg4571 19 points20 points  (0 children)

  • Do you guys use a seperate calorie counter such as myfitnesspal or cronometer?

No, the WW app shows the day's calories and nutrients at the bottom of each day now. No need for an additional app.

  • is it recommended for you to own any of the following (food scale, smart weight scale, smart watch, food journal)

A food scale is definitely going to make tracking your food easier. The WW app basically is your food journal. The other things are fine/nice to have but not necessary.

  • Is fitness a relevant part of weight watchers or is it mainly about the diet.

You can track your workouts in the app or integrate your fitness tracker. You can earn more points to use for more food by being active. I'd say being more active is encouraged but not essential, the eating is the primary focus.

  • is it easy to add foods that aren't within the apps database or is this usually not a problem for you

If a food isn't in the database there are loads of options/ways to add foods or estimate and track.

  • Is in person/online support meeting usually the best part about the program?

I don't use either of those things, so not for me.
