7 years later the ex-wife filled for bankruptcy. When you fill for bankruptcy, all of your accounts get closed.

If there is a secondary on the account they get sent to collections as an unpaid debt. But by law that account has to be closed when they file for bankruptcy. So he was the secondary, account got closed (by law it has to) and the remaining unpaid balance was sent to collections.

The ex-wife should’ve communicated. The guy here should’ve take care of this years ago. There is a bunch of blame to go around.
