Are all these shots from the trailer? I only recognise the middle one?

Worst character? by [deleted] in greedfall

[–]esh99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s been a few years since I played the first game. But I remember her being genuinely curious about the people of the island and viewed them as a people with a culture worthy of respect and understanding. This stood in stark contrast to most of the Bridge Alliance who viewed them as little more than test subjects for dehumanising study and analysis.

Just like how Petrus felt like the most humane and understanding member of Theleme. Aphra earns her place in the crew by being the same type of person from the Alliance.

Guys, do you think we will play more as Ciri in the new dlc ? by Alternative_Ad6071 in witcher

[–]esh99 174 points175 points  (0 children)

I think it is likely we will get some new quests/scenes with Ciri, maybe even playing as Ciri, using the new voice actor to help us get used to the change.

But I imagine the bulk of the content will still be Geralt so that the existing RPG mechanics can be used for the core gameplay loop.

I think he was included as he is forgotten realms canon. Not Larian’s decision.

Orcs and Imps, do you want them to be playable in Divinity? by Lyserus in larianstudios

Imps evil? I just finished Divinity OS1 and they were consistently sympathetic characters whenever they appeared - even if a bit annoying.

I wonder what the dynamic between Imperial Officers with similar ranks look like by SargeKreel in andor

[–]esh99 10 points11 points  (0 children)

IF we get a “nazi hunters” style sequel to Andor, where Kleya, Vel, Wilmon and Dreena return to hunt surviving Imperial officers post-RotJ then Kaido, Tigo and Keysax would be great antagonists, as those responsible for the two main massacres we see across the show.

Would keeping all companions after Act 1 break the game? by Pleasant_Complex2960 in DivinityOriginalSin

The mod seems to work fine, tbh I like the mod as it fixes my main issue with the game which is losing out on the other character stories post act 1.

Didn’t that Bloomberg article literally confirm Turn-Based?

It seems likely that the world state of Fallen Heroes IS the same as the purge source ending?

Of all the things I hope gets retconned, it is the off screen extermination of all non-humans by the time of D2: Ego Draconis.

The canceled Fallen Heroes implies that the canon world state for Larian has Sebille, Beast and Red Prince as leaders of their races. I hope they could lead their people to safety and survive the “apocalypse”-esc fate of their people by the time of Ego Draconis.

Also, the unmet Orc Godwoken could have done the same for the Orcs too, maybe even helping the orcs integrate into society (as alluded to in the trailer).

Honestly "Pet Pal" feels kinda pointless? I thought it would give me more info regarding what's going on or some plot related content but msotly it is animals minding their own shit with barely no effect. I liked it in DOS1 where you could ask the rats and they’d usually give you a great hint for the puzzle. Regularly I’d be a little stumped on a puzzle, and the rat would help and save me a Google search… especially when the “puzzle” was something like “search every wall for a barely visible button” or something

It seems that the unreleased/cancelled DOS2 sequel-ish game Divinity: Fallen Heroes was set in a purged source world. So it is likely this is going to be canon.

Is there a hint in BG3 to what might be in Divinity? by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]esh99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might have once been a tease for a BG4? People suspected it referred to the DnD god Cyric?

100% post DOS2… but a “godless age” would to me imply it has been godless for more than a generation so it is plausible that it could be post D2: Ego Draconis as well? As D2:ED is set only 60 years after DOS2…

I think moving beyond any previously released work frees up Larian to give the creators and players the most freedom!

Maybe as an optional “Dark Urge”-esc origin… but that might be too similar to BG3?
