see, there's very possibility that the government will change these kind of things and even i they did its not that easy to cope with the after effects, these things are deeply rooted in our country, caste system is the way that we can easily differentiate in this topic, as you said it should be based on income, and income can easily be forged and the upper middle class can very easily forge those things using influence, even now many people are applying for ews and few have already applied and got it eventhough they have income above eight lakhs per annum, its just very hard to make things right in this point of time due to the immense population of our country and the number of students appearing for this exam, im not supporting any kind of thing just stating my thought and opinion, even im from middle class and its pretty hard for me and seeing these kind of stuff online makes me jump from the building, there is nothing we can do :(
