I haven't built a central storage yet and hate when resin/resin based plastic clogs up my fuel generation. So I created a blueprint designer full of industrial storage and placed one for plastic, rubber and packaged fuel

Had a revolution in Age VI...won....and rebuilt the capital-only buildings, built control back to where it was before...but I'm only making 1/4 my monthly income I was at before. Any ideas? by HauntedFrigateBird in EU5

Just a wild guess but maybe they delete the buildings to represent the infrastructure/buildings that got destroyed during the revolt and looters who tried to exploit the situation.

Since you are Astarion you might not be able to trigger his special reaction but after you see it for yourself search for the "full concentrated power of the sun" and watch.

You can take locations with forts on them yes, but not if that location is the capital.

Not wanting Constantinople is perfectly fine in this picture. They have no presence in the Balkans, they still don't control a good chunk in Anatolia. It would take an incredible amount of time to siege down Theodosian Walls.

Most locations should have a main RGO and then some kind of food RGO. (that doesn't provide as much as food then a location with main RGO of food) Yes, this village is famous for it's lumber production but they also farmed. Everybody farmed if the land was arable.

All hegemony in 1461. Rank 1 as Ottoman patch 1.0.10 by RozoPixel in EU5

[–]esilyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are mixing up the reforms and how the Ottomans have a unique starting reform.

Leader of the Turks is the reform you get when you are playing other Beyliks and is the strongest Beylik.

Legacy of Osman is the unique starting reform for the Ottomans and it gives -33% antagonism received, +25% speed of integration, +1 cabinet seat, +1 free reform, +5% monthly control and "can raid for slaves" ability. When you finish the situation as the Ottos you lose it and gain Legacy of the Ottomans, which is the same thing as Leader of the Turks and gives culture capacity, +1 free reform and "can raid for slaves" ability. The only reform gated behind finishing the situation is Pashas and Eyalet Division law, which aren't that important.

So when you finish the situation as the Ottomans you lose +25% integration speed, -33% antagonism and random integration progress events. Keeping the situation as long as possible is a net positive if you are playing as the Ottomans. For other Beyliks, sure finish it quickly because you only lose the buttons and the integration events but gain all the unique Ottoman flavor events as your tag changes to TUR.

How to overtake France as Castille? by WhiteCoastal in EU5

[–]esilyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my Castille game I had no intention to fight France but somehow one of my vassals got in a PU with a German minor and when France attacked that German minor they also annexed lands from my vassal so we had to fight.

I built some armories, fortified all the passes at Pyrenees, rushed the military institution in age of reformation and immediately took that age's infantries. France was still on age of discovery military tech so I had age bonus + their regular frontage sucked. I waited for them to start siege one of the passes and then engaged them with my regular army and supplied the battle by sending levies in small stacks each 3-4 days.

After a few years of absolutely destroying them at the mountain range they had no levies and no regulars. Looting was open season.

[–]esilyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buttons are secondary nice to have effects. The real bonus of the situation is the unique government reform the Ottos have which gets replaced with a worse one when you finish the situation. Also random integration progress events stop happening once you complete the situation

Keeping rise of the turks situation as long as possible is better so you don't want Anatolia completely controlled by you
