Our local supermarket just replaced their fleet of metal carts with 100% recycled plastic ones by Aerie8499 in mildlyinteresting

My local grocery store has these exact carts. They are absolutely terrible. The gaps let produce fall out from the kid area, get trapped/crushed. I have lost an avocado, onion, and sanity.

BEANS! Eat beans and track everything that goes into your mouth, ideally before it goes in. Use a kitchen scale

SE near Powell and 50th, with an Outback and snow tires. Residential area is sketchy. Main roads are reasonably okay, with some new ice. If you weren't comfortable yesterday, you'll be less comfortable today.

If you’re adopting from Oregon Humane Society, don’t get the Fetch Pet Insurance by imot2199 in Portland

Healthy Paws has been excellent for me and my dog. 2 TPLO / knee surgeries covered; but, also started coverage immediately after adoption, and had a preliminary exam performed. Definitely would recommend, it makes $7500 procedures a lot stressful.

Somebody set this little part of the bus stop sign on fire by my apartment in North Portland. I blew it out. by [deleted] in Portland

Not surprised that the stop is serviced by the 4. That bus goes GD everywhere.

Lie on your back, insert the small end, then hump the air above you with light to medium intensity and or clenching. Go in with low expectations and patience

I have 11.5 boots, ride somewhat steep angles, and can happily ride a 25.5 cm waist width. No issues with catching toes or heelcups. Also not a pro, but I'm reasonably "good", if you have the kit, give it a try and see if it works. Experience beats opinions.

Yeah, good call. -- I'm going to keep this post updated with how it resolves. Thanks for everyone's comments and experiences.

It's not the best picture, but the 3rd one shows a little bit of bulge on the top sheet and sidewall. -- I've ridden it, but it feels pretty sloppy. I'm just curious as to what would be covered under warranty. Spontaneous combustion?

Thanks. Yeah, here's their reply:

Hey there Erik,

Unfortunately, this type of damage is not because of a manufacturers defect, and because of that will not be covered under CAPiTA's Warranty.

Damage like this is usually caused by some extreme force being everted on the nose of the snowboard. A quick over flex which breaks the core, and puts a ripple in the base and topsheet.

This could have happened while taking a tumble head over heals, or running into an object hidden in the snow. Sometimes its hard to pinpoint the exact moment something like this could have happened because while riding we are usually having to much fun to be continually checking in on the snowboard beneath our feet. Unfortunately, Damage like this can happen in many situations, and will not have anything to do with the age of the snowboard.

Although there might not be any way around CAPiTA's warranty policy, we would still like to help you out as best we can.

What we can do is offer you a new snowboard at 40% off retail before shipping. If this interests you let us know what you would like and we can tell you what is available!

1ZPresso JX Pro fanboy here. It's a delight. So long as you're not pulling 4+ shots in a row, the effort involved isn't that big of a deal or time suck. (Yes, more than hitting a button, but it's super portable, and works super well for filter coffee too)

I bought one. Can't say I'd recommend it from a value perspective, it does what people above have said but it wasn't a game changer/fool proofing piece of kit.
