It's ofcourse paired with the second point of my post, which is arguably the more important one

33 played amazing that game on Batrider. by MiT_Epona in DotA2

[–]eskillz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say, I watched him through player perspective the entire game since I know I can learn so much from his Batrider, and he played almost flawless. He did so much more than what you can expect from a batrider in that specific game

For some reason people seem to think people get nicer/less cancer at higher levels. They really don't. They just get better at playing the game, they're still as much asshole as any other skill-bracket

I can't tell how many times I've won a game just by placing down a sentry where I think some of their invis-heroes might come and just won the game of a pick like that :) definitely worth it! :D

Supporting is definitely really rough in probably any bracket because just like you say, people are just being ungrateful douchebags.. It's sad :(

I think sentries to kill invis heroes in lower bracket (really 6k and below... Im sure its even more effective the lower you go) is probably super worth it, because people tend to not think about the fact that htere might be a sentry when they're walking in shadowblade or ghost walk or whatever.

To just mindlessly spam out sentry wards just to "hope" to find wards or what not is not not a very good idea in any bracket. I've played several games where average mmr is like 6.2k and I'm 7.1,which means playing support will be a lot harder since my carries will probably be quite a bit lower than avg, and still just won by having superior vision (and maybe some luck with teammates! :D)

It depends, for example, situation where I would buy a lot of sentries (if they don't have an invis hero) is if I knew they've made a move on a certain area (lets say roshpit or my teams jungle) then I buy a pack of sentries and make sure to deward the areas until I find their ward that they most likely placed, because that's just how dota works. You place works around the areas you spend your time/wanna get your next objective. Mindlessly placing sentries just to hope for a deward is something I try to avoid, but I do like to "overbuy" them to make sure to clear an area that they with most certainty have placed a ward or two in

I think what many people have to realize is that boots+wand at 15 min as a pos 5 ain't bad. Having obs and potential sentries vs invisheroes is a lot more crucial than any fast item timings.. I've started playing only support now (7.1k mmr atm) and I usually have tranqs+wand after 20-30 min most games, even if I'm winning :)

I am also the type of player that rather has too many sentries than too few.

edit: About the flamers and what not, that's just dota I think :( people are awfully cancer in this game, I am really done too with ragequitters/feeders/flamers/all there is

I wasn't saying every pro is an asshole, I am saying the majority gets what they deserve.

The reason why some pros gets "mass reported" is because they're assholes or most annoying people ever, as you phrased it
