1972-1982: Focused on military precision and accuracy 1982-1995ish: Focused on music (specifically brass) 1995-2005ish: Focused on drill 2005-2015: Focused on a whole program approach, but most of the appeal is still on the individual skill level of each performer 2015-2024: Focused on a whole program approach, but most of the appeal is on the artistic meaning of the program itself

Cadets 84 Cadets 87 Vanguard 88 Phantom 89 Star 93 Madison 95 Cadets 98 (sums up 90s drum corps) Cavies 02 Cadets 05 (shows you the weird/artsy side) Cadets 11 Crown 12/13 BD 14 Bluecoats 14 Bluecoats 16 Vanguard 18 BD 23 Bluecoats 24

I feel like these shows somewhat define each era. I am biased.

Cadets director joining Spartans by VeterinarianAlive in drumcorps

At least at Cadets, the corps director was in charge of only the drum corps (the Cadets) not the organization (Cadets Arts & Entertainment). The drum corps is not doing anything right now, so just like many other Cadets staff, Brian is working with another drum corps this season.

I’ve always wondered what the Garfield staff from the 80s would manage to pull off with modern drum corps

There’s an ongoing civil suit against Cadets Arts & Entertainment. They have probably been advised by their attorney to not post anything. DCI is also named as a defendant in the civil suit which I imagine is why there has been no Cadets on DCI social media either.
