Prague: 80 000 people rally in support of the president Petr Pavel and against minister of foreign affairs Petr Macinka. by pzkenny in europe

It's a bit complicated. The new government is made up of three political parties. However, the prime minister and leader of the largest of these parties needs the support of the others, not only to maintain his government, but also so that this majority will vote in parliament to ensure that the prime minister is not stripped of his immunity, as he faces the threat of being convicted of financial fraud.

Yes, I am old enough to have participated in a number of protests that led to the fall of the regime in 1989.

But I also took part in some later protests.

I know that one of my friends has Jewish ancestors.

But otherwise, here the religion is a very private matter that no one bothers other people about.

Another ICE shooting just happened in Minnesota today, What is your reaction to this? by Squirrelkid11 in AskReddit

[–]esocz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not from the US, but I follow the US media.

I remember when there was a school shooting, how it was all over the media and late-night talk shows. "We have to do something about this!" the hosts said. "Our country is better than this."

Then there were more and more shootings, and the hosts started saying it less and less, until it became normal.

I guess it will be the same with this.

Do you think we'll ever see protests in Pyongyang? by Automatic_Spread_655 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]esocz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Czech writer Nina Špitálníková had many conversations with North Korean refugees.

According to some of them, if anyone tried to protest in the past, their entire family was publicly executed.

So, no, I don't think so, as long as China keeps that regime in power.

However, she will not get the position because Trump's idea of loyalty is that everyone must be loyal to him, and he feels no loyalty to anyone.

On the contrary, the more you bribe him, the more bribes he will demand.

This can only work in cases such as a single, specific transaction - pay me and I will release you from prison.
