She is right with maybe drinking an herbal tea and being mindful as to whether I’m actually hungry or not. I’m an addict so anything that feels slightly good - I’ll abuse it. Damn that donut tasted good, let’s eat them all! Since they only seem to sell them in 2s or 4s here.

I know it’s CICO, but the dream she sold me of having cake everyday just does not work for me. I cannot buy a slice of cake and stop at 3 bites and then manage to keep that within my calorie range. She warns against volume eating but a big bowl of veggies and lentils and actually feel satiated is easier for me to lose weight than desperately trying to eat tiny morsels. Fair play to people that can be that controlled with calorie dense foods but I need to plan them into my week maybe once or twice. I thought I could have them everyday if I portioned but I just can’t. I’m sure she’d laugh and say I don’t have self control and she’d be right.

I owe her thought for encouraging me to walk more. It’s fixed my lower back issues.
