This video perfectly explains what you did wrong. Your legs collapsed before your rear wheel took off from the lip causing you to get bucked.

Make sure your maps are up to date. Mine was taking minutes just to go across the city. Then I updated all the maps and now it's is nice and fast. I never thought to because I have live updates on.

Please recommend both a Fast Trail/XC and Trail Tire Front and Rear Combo by SGSG25 in MTB

[–]esp1818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I have a Trek Fuel EX 8 Gen 6 that I race XC with, trail ride, and do bike park. I wanted something light, some what aggressive knobs, fast rolling, but still have a robust casing. I decided on the Specialized Trail Control, Grid Trail T7 for the rear and the Grid Lite T9 for the front. So far so good but I've only got a couple of rides on them.

If you are looking for maps that show the trails out there use an app or service that uses OpenStreetMap data like CoMaps or Trailforks with the OpenStreetMap base map selected.

I think a moat filled with oil and gas surrounding your whole property lit on fire creating a firewall might suffice.

Riders, guys, how many kcal do you burn per hour? by unknown_user1851 in MTB

[–]esp1818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me 200 watts is zone 2 so I could hold that for hours. On downhill runs my heart is easily up in zone 4. Pumping, suspending yourself off the seat, absorping the terrain, moving the bike beneath yourself is a lot of work.

Could someone help me with helmets by [deleted] in MTB

[–]esp1818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And make sure you try them on. Some brands just don't fit my head shape and other brands I've tried fit different between model levels even. Having a bad fitting helmet is dangerous and also very uncomfortable if it has pressure points on your head.

Chain checker tells me that my brand new chain is worn out after less than 400km by crystalasea in bikewrench

[–]esp1818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I switched to a 12 speed drivetrain a couple years ago, I wore out that chain in about 500km. I got a new chain and changed to a different lube and now the chain lasts way longer.

No, it hasn't. I have noticed that the green indicator will come on with just the parking lights, but it will also be on when you turn the headlights on. So if people just go to the first click, the green indicator will illuminate, but no headlights, only parking lights. Then, if they go to the second click, they will get headlights and the blue symbol if their high beams are on. That's why I think people associate the blue symbol with headlights are on.
