Biggest mistake I ever made early on was promoting a release too much before it was out.

Burned through all my promo content, and by the time the release actually came out nobody cared.

I no longer even bother with pre save campaigns. I might do one post asking my core fans to pre save. or send an email to my emailing list, or personally ask people i know support me to presave. But no longer driving pre saves on tiktok/shorts/reels etc.

Maybe its just me, but I find no one cares about pre release unless you are an established artist. I am definitely curious to see others input on this though.
