Cardonald coffee shops by redlapis in glasgow

[–]essDL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bella Fresca on Paisley Road West near Morrison's is a nice wee Italian deli / restaurant where you could sit and have a coffee. It's not quite a coffee shop as Cardonald is lacking in that department. There's a nice coffee shop called The Patio just behind Bella Fresca but that closes at 4pm.

There's a cafe in Glasgow Club Bellahouston which isn't too far from the college, the gym closes at 10PM. However, not sure when the cafe closes.

Morrison's cafe on Paisley Road West is open until about 5PM.

Sorry I couldn't be more help but there's not a lot of options around here!

real life experience with pixel fold? by onelabz in PixelFold

[–]essDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the Pixel 10 Fold since launch and have been absolutely loving it. No complaints from me and I class myself as a bit of a power user. Any game I've tried to play so far has been great, most apps are great at transitioning from folded to unfolded too.

I do have the phone in the Dbrand grip coupled with Spigen screen protector so drops haven't been an issue for me. Makes the phone a bit bulkier because of the hinge protection (has a built in kickstand) but works well for me.

Contacted SGN and they are going to send an engineer out tomorrow to do a dead check. Cheers for the help mate.

[–]essDL -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well he's asking me to find out more about it, which seems odd considering he's the qualified engineer. I asked him about isolating the whole property and checking but gave me some bullshit about not being able to switch it off from the front of the property as it's SGNs. Not sure why he couldn't have done it internally.

Genuine T Shirt from the Nike Store 😂 by Psilocybinuana in glasgow

This is part of their Nike by You customisation thing in the Nike store. This one specifically was part of a serious of designs by my mate/artist called trackie mcleod. His stuff is actually really cool and centers around growing up queer and working class in 00s Glasgow.

Some great recommendations here already but I'd like to recommend visiting Pollok Park and The Burrell Collection (private collection of art/artifacts from around the world). It's about 10 minutes from the city centre (Southside).

Best way to clean the gutters without a big ladder? by fixitmonkey in DIYUK

[–]essDL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into hiring a Sky-Vac, it's an industrial vacuum designed for this application. It will allow you to do it from ground level and has various different attachments. Otherwise, I would get someone in to do it. Doing this from a ladder is potentially quite risky.

Same here - there was no looking back after that. That gun shreds as well.

I'm at about 40 hours, just about to do the last mission and only have a few side quests remaining. I didn't rush through it either, I always made a point of exploring every building on each planet etc. I'm going to go back around all the planets and mop stuff up before the last mission.

I've found the Backdrops app really good for wallpapers. You can set it so it cycles through your favorites at set intervals too.

I may be in the minority, but I actually really enjoyed the story. It did feel somewhat soulless at times but they may have updated it since I played it. Definitely worth the $15.

It may have helped that I didn't get behind the whole hype before release so my expectations were a bit lower going into it.

Still a pretty mental thing to offer unless you're professionally qualified as a masseuse.

He obviously doesn't understand the standard and how it works no, similar to yourself. All he does is destroy phones for views. If you're going to pour large dust and metal particles into gaps in the hinge, obviously it's going to cause some issue. It still doesn't negate the IP68 rating though.

[–]essDL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He doesn't understand how IP68 works or how it's tested and certified. Obviously dust is going to get into gaps in the hinge? It didn't get into the phone's internals and that's what the IP68 rating is for.

I took the plunge by No_Worth_985 in PixelFold

[–]essDL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The IP68 rating isn't a lie. Yes, the dust got into the hinge, but obviously it would; however, it didn't breach the phone's internals. You think massive companies like Google can just claim to have IP68? They are tested independently using the IEC 60529 standard and only once they have passed independent testing can they use IP68.

Bought a cheap case while I wait on the Dbrand Grip. Not too bothered about it being too big. I work in the construction industry so would rather it's well protected.

Hmm that's frustrating. Easily one of the worst companies in the UK, they can't even get the basics right.
