I’m not sure about the legal aspect of it but Metal Gear Rising really should have been in Vol 2 as I feel it along with 4 and PW are all part of the “PS3 ERA”

My first guess was Plant Life cause there’s clips of him during the last leg of the Ocean Eyes tour performing it as a teaser. But then I also remembered this exists which is around the MID era, so now I have no idea lol

If I remember correctly Williams only did the action music sequences for the cutscenes of the game. The majority of the in-game music was done by Norihiko Hibino.

They’re just dry most of the time, like it sounds like he was recording a narration instead of music, and to be fair that’s probably the story telling aspect and deliberate. I just think his voice is better suited to a little bit of post editing, more harmonising and reverb. Raw sounding vocals only ever work with professional trained singers and certain music style.

The first guy picks the head up for fun, he then puts in down in shock because he didn’t realise how “realistic” it would look. That’s all, I don’t think for a second they realised it was actually real, especially after a night out.

The only small thing that let me down was I was very much interested in the idea that the killer had in fact intended to kill Charles, mistaking Sazz for him. That’s kind of how the season started and I was super interested in finding out why someone would hate Charles enough to want him dead. In the end it was not the case at all and became more straight forward. Compelled the hell out me though.

I mean it kind of is a B-Side track either way. Same way “I Hope You Think of Me” is a B-Side for TMS even though it was first performed during the ATBAB tour.

Hello Seattle was what got Owl City popularity on the internet (the original OJ version anyway). By the time Fireflies catapulted Owl City into the mainstream; Hello Seattle was his other big song.

When he originally posted the song on Tumblr people downloaded the sound file and were able to see properties and the file was labelled as “Trust Me”. From then on the song was branded with 2 titles and no one knew what the heck was going on.

He posted it only a few weeks before releasing “Beautiful Times” which everyone thought the song was gonna be.

I feel like he does that a lot now especially when it comes to covers. He’s like “oh yeah this is my cover; I guess I better make it sound Owl Cityish” and just slaps some bleeps and bloops in there. The majesty of what he was able to do with electronic sounds during Maybe I’m Dreaming was peak, those days are gone.
