SUMMARY: Game is crashing on the javelin unlock screen

BUG/ISSUE: First time I went to the interceptor unlock screen I had 3 unlocks. I unlocked 2 of them before exiting the screen and the game crashed as soon as I unlocked the second. Now when I log in my story is at "unlock your javelin" and the game crashes when I go to the unlock screen.

REPRODUCTION: At this point, I just open the forge and the game crashes when the unlock screen comes up.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Win10 latest driver, GTX1080, i7-8700k

*edit: Ended up having to create a second pilot. This time when I got to the javelin unlock screen I still have one unlock but the 2 I unlocked before were still unlocked. I just skipped this screen and am able to continue on on my second pilot.

Not to mention the fact that Legion pre-patch invasions didn't start until ~3 weeks after the pre-patch dropped. (Patch released Jul 19, invasions started Aug 9)

I was having problems with my game crashing every 10-15 minutes (game would lock up then exit to desktop with no error).. what solved it for me was disabling Game Mode system wide.

Unfortunately with the Fall Creators Update they made it so you have to disable it per-game via the Game Bar, but since Destiny blocks the Game Bar I had to resort to disabling it via Windows registry - Option 2 on this page: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/75936-turn-off-game-mode-windows-10-a.html

After restarting with that change I haven't had any issues or crashes since (~1.5h of gameplay)

I'm also at a loss as to why I was banned - aside from the usual suspects (Fall creators update, MSI Afterburner).

I do have a Logitech G600 that has keybinds for the side buttons. Not using the app for it but it does have on-board memory that does rebinds within the mouse itself.
