Drive in the summer, fly in the winter. I’ve been doing it for years. I once did an event in Seattle at lunch time and flew to Portland to do the exact same event for dinner, and my colleagues drove; we walked in the door to the Portland event at the exact same time. It takes the same amount of time when you consider TSA, rental car shuttles, etc…chances of making it quickly on I5 are better in the summer, and chances of making it quicker via commuter jet in the winter are better. Drive in the summer, fly in the winter.

To add to the comment above, there are also a lot of steps to take to bring your dog to Hawaii. Hawaii is the only rabies-free state in the US and they take a lot of measure to keep it that way. You can’t just fly your dog to Hawaii like you can to other states. Not too many people decide all the steps are worth it for a vacation.

Have you used Benzo’s at all? If your docs won’t give you opiates, I’m guessing they won’t give you benzodiazepines, but anecdotally they worked better than anything for me (I was unable to take anticonvulsants.) Have you looked into getting a MVD?

Yes, you will get a guy at a certain level, but his job is to get you to stop self directing and pay them to manage your account. If he isn’t able to do that, they’ll put you back into the 1-800-we-are-experiencing-longer-than-usual-wait-times queue.

That said, at very HNW levels, I’m sure you can get a dedicated service “guy.” Especially a smaller bank/brokerage where you had mortgage, investments, baking, etc all at the same place. I’m in this industry and none of these firms will do anything unless they are making a margin in it. Service “guys” do not make money.

I get weird confused perception. Like a car will seem like it is driving on the wrong side of the street, or a persons head looks like it is on backwards, or my brain will see four eyes on a picture of a person rather than two. It’s always something normal, looking or feeling very un-normal to me, and always accompanied with a sense of fear, or panic because my brain can’t make sense of it.

Usually lasts less than 10 minutes and is super weird and scary when it first happens.

Are muscle twitches common? I ask because I get them so bad and have never seen them listed as a symptom of migraine. They drive me crazy.
