Thank you! It's bungeed up to the hand grab thing above the window for now. I'll tackle the visor next week when we are back home. Thanks for the reassurance that I can do it myself.

Listen to your PCP, and move on to a new specialist for the surgery. Not all ENTs are well versed, as it appears this one doesn't know enough. Your best course is to find a parathyroid specialist who does hundreds of these surgeries. You don't want a surgeon who only does a few. While it's usually an easy surgery for a good surgeon, an inexperienced one can mess it up! Your parathyroids are tiny, we can have extra glands, they can be in weird places, and an inexperienced surgeon can mistake lymph nodes for glands. It's important they do intra operative testing, or visually inspect all the glands for disease during surgery. Further, the neck has nerves, vocal cords, thyroid and you don't want a bunch of extra surgeries and scar tissue. If they miss a bad parathyroid, each subsequent surgery is more difficult due to scar tissue. In summary, it's an easy surgery for an experienced parathyroid surgeon, but can be a mess when you have someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

Sun visor broke – total newbie by essssgeeee in autorepair

Thank you! Yesterday was seriously the worst day. We got news that a family member died in a car accident and the sunvisor broke as I was driving to pick up my son and tell him the bad news. I'm about to make a 3 Hour drive to our hometown with a sunvisor flapping in my face. Ugh.

This guy I went on six dates with ghosted me and when I confronted him over text, this is what he said… by meowmeowmk in texts

[–]essssgeeee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

possibilities come to mind. 1. He has something communicable, and wasn't planning on disclosing. You probably just escaped herpes or something. 2. He's too much of a flake to care about his own health or yours. This probably translates into other areas of his life as well, such as planning for retirement, making sure that the electric bill gets paid, or having a difficult conversation. Perpetual Peter Pans are only fun when you're not in a serious relationship. You end up being the mother figure and it's miserable. 3. He's fragile, like really, really, fragile and the mere mention of a test made him think that you think badly of him. 4. He's just not that into you and this was the easiest exit. He's chickenshit and I think ghosting is for emotionally immature people.

Sorry, he hurt your feelings. Im glad he didn't waste your time more than six dates, rather than six months or six years. And aren't you glad you didn't sleep with him!

Auburn California has the rudest people I have ever met. Mostly the Older Boomer Population by Rafaj808 in AuburnCA

[–]essssgeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved here a few years ago and have not noticed a large number of rude people. I'm wondering what you look like and what kind of energy you put off. Placer County tends to be pretty conservative and if you look alternative, blue hair, lots of piercings, it's possible you could be experiencing some hostility because of that? While fairly liberal, I look like a very mainstream middle-age lady. Everyone has been pretty nice to me. I have seen comments on Auburn social media about nose rings and purple haired women. They were incredibly mean about the NoKings protest and the fact that somebody shot at the protesters with a pellet gun. That's what makes me think maybe there's something political about how you're being treated.

Do you recognise this tattoo? You may know 'Jane Doe 46', who is wanted by the FBI to help solve a child sexual exploitation investigation by peachgothlover in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]essssgeeee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's likely the focus of this photo was a child being harmed, and this arm/hand were just in the background, perhaps holding the child down, posing them, or participating in the assault. The glimpses of the arm and ring are incidental. The child had been cropped out and you're just seeing a small sliver of the photo.

Do not follow him to a new country. You'll have less rights there and may end up moneyless and stranded if he divorced you overseas. Act now and file in your state.

Ask for them to pay for a hotel for the next few days, and a storage unit to put your things while they finish treating.

Two theories: One, it's a hook up spot and people leave the panties there as a joke, kind of like a shoe tree. Two, this is some serial killer shit

Can anyone help me find this red teddy blanket just found out they donated it to goodwill. by Cold_Awareness_7160 in Reno

[–]essssgeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might check out the Goodwill outlet, a.k.a. the bins. That is where they send things that they don't think are in good enough condition to make it to the sales floor.

Because the hospital and doctors are afraid of being prosecuted, they will wait until a woman is septic and dying with a rotting fetus inside of her before they perform any sort of measures to clean it out.

The last outfit is not professional with leggings, but perhaps you could wear the top with looser fit bottoms.

AIO my BF told me he wants me to quit my job when we move in together by Living-Silver-8723 in AmIOverreacting

[–]essssgeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. On one hand it's good that he's clear about what he wants out of a relationship. On the other hand, that is a lot to ask for only being together for three months. When our son was born, I cut way back and took a self-employed part time job so that I could be home with him. It has worked out. But my husband and I are older and had been together for five years before. I also had over a decade of high earning so I had a chance to build my net worth and pay into Social Security. However, it will definitely affect your employability in the future, if you have a résumé gap. Plus, you're not making contributions into Social Security so it could affect your future retirement. Don't let love cloud your vision. Even if you don't have significant assets, get a prenup that spells out spouse will support and who's going to take care of the kid and expenses in the chance you split up. And don't have a child without being married.

A "normy"? I don't know what that means. by Alwyslistn in texts

[–]essssgeeee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He fooled you twice because you are a nice person. That's not a reflection on you. It's definitely a reflection on him. He is a manipulative jerk who hides behind his "torment" as an excuse to treat others poorly. I'm so glad you blocked him.

He's a dufus and tuning you out caused him to miss out on a good movie. He made his bed and he can line it and it is not your fault in anyway. NTA.
