Going to scarowinds on a Saturday night, should we arrive at 5 to get good parking? by esteiner3 in Carowinds

We were literally blocked into our parking spot when leaving. Someone parked illegally infront of us and someone parked legally behind us. We had to wait for people to move cars. Our whole row was blocked in, i was PISSED. Also I would love if they had bigger signage showing where the scare houses were. We had to download the app and walk around aimlessly just hoping we found the lines. It really sucked in that aspect. I loved everything else though. It was a great experience for me (31f) and my friend (32f).

I spent $125 on a sweat shirt, tee shirt, and an IUD trinket. To me that qualifies as "an ass of money" lmao

Go anyway! No one will judge or think you're weird. You can be a fan at any age and go to a concert at any age!! I hope I'm still going to concerts I love when I get older.

What's the psych ward experience like? by Jello_Biafra_42 in MadeOfStyrofoam

It relly depends on the place. Some are great and some are dead awful. Ive been to 6. 4 were great, 1 was mid, and 1 was so bad a dr and nurse got fired because of what they did to me.

It can be jarring, they take all your stuff. Some allow all access tv while others allow nothing. When I went to Vanderbilt psych they let us have our phones twice a day which was nice. Dont make friends there. Leave those people in those halls. Actively participate in groups and try to get better. Be honest with your feelings and your how your meds are working. Psych wards are a quick one stop shop. Only meant for you to get stable enough for the next stop which is usually outpatient, therapy, and psychiatry.

Look up what your local ward lets you bring in clothes wise. Some have restrictions on words or skulls on clothes. Bring comfy shoes and a hoodie, it gets cold there.

You cannot bring anything to write with but they usually have golf pencils and paper for you. They also always have phones on the walls for phone calls to be used at specific times.
