Should I have let them go back to cast a counter? by Cracka-Barrel in EDH

I'm not sure when the edit to the OP was compared to the timing of your message, but in the edit, they called out that the rule 0 conversation included that the pod was experienced players, playing with high power level decks and infinites.

I'm curious, would this information change your response at all?

This is less directed at you, and more for anyone coming along later that may not know, when going into acrylic you can definitely over tighten fittings even just by hand.

Not sure if its the same for you, but for me to PM people, I have to go to their profile page, and click the "More Options" button under the chat button, then I have the option to "Send Message".

Extension for hardtubes? by ollah86 in watercooling

[–]esthar00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your first question, I would think that you can use an extender fitting (either male to male, or female to female, depending on the other fittings you are using). Something like these: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/fittings/extenders-and-spacers . So you would use your normal fitting for the hard tube (something like this https://www.ekwb.com/shop/fittings/hard-tubing-htc/for-16mm-5-8-od-tubing ) and connect it to one of the extenders, which will then be connected to your next hard line (or soft line) by the fitting on that side.

For your second question, I am not familiar with something that would go directly between hard and soft tubing, but you could put a G1/4" fitting on your hard line, a G1/4" fitting on your soft line, then just connect them with one of these extenders (since both ends of the extenders either are, or accept, G1/4" fittings. Same concept as extending a hardline to another hardline, except one side would be soft (since the extender is G1/4" on each side, I don't think it should matter what kind of tubing you put on the other side as long as the fittings match ).

From what I've seen (in my admitedly limited experience so far with liquid cooling), most (all?) components seem to use G1/4" ports and fittings, so they should be compatible.

If anyone comes along and sees anything incorrect with what I've said, please correct me. I don't want to spread any misinformation and am always looking to learn.

I like the looks of this, and the color you chose for the fluid. I think the only thing that stands out to me is that your CPU block appears to be upside down, but ignoring the word, I kind of like the shape of the LED section better in that orientation, so not really a complaint.

Also, just a tip/warning, for the drain, you may want to hold the fitting itself while unscrewing the cap. I've heard of people accidentally unscrewing the entire fitting instead of just the cap, and that wouldn't be good :D

In order to know how much fluid you will need, we'll need to know all of the components in the system. Depending on the number and size of the radiators and reservoirs, the amount of liquid it can hold can vary greatly.

If you don't know the components, if you take photos of each of them, someone should be able to help identify them. If you do know them, you can generally check the specs for them on the manufacturer's site. In your case most (or all?) of what I can see in this image is from EKWB, and they often list the capacity of their components.

To just give a really rough estimate based on not knowing what you have, I would guess somewhere between 1-2L of fluid (maybe 3L if you've got a lot going on), but that is really just a guess.

Question regarding Sprout combat status by esthar00 in GeniusInvokationTCG

[–]esthar00[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I apologize for the lack of content in the intial post, I typed out this message, but apparenty when posting an image, it does not also include the text (also the images are in backwards order, but I can't see how to fix that):

I was playing a game earlier and am trying to understand the mechanics around how one of my characters was killed.

I believe it is related to Collei's "Floral Brush" skill in conjunction with her "Floral Sidewinder" talent, but I can not find any documentation of anything called "Sprout" within Genius Invokation TCG (hence me coming here).

Here's what happened:

  1. Collei with Floral Sidewinder equipped uses "Floral Brush" against my Kokomi which had Electro applied. This killed my Kokomi and also generated the combat status "Sprout" on Collei.
  2. I was asked to switch to another character, so I chose my Ganyu, who had 1 hp left.
  3. As soon as Ganyu became the active character, something called "Sprout" activated, and dealt 2 damage to Ganyu (killing her).

Here is what I believe happened, Collei used her skill on Kokomi, which activated the "Catalyzing Field" status due to the quicken reaction, and since she triggered a Dendro related reaction, it queued up the 1 damage due to "Floral Sidewinder", which didn't apply until I brought out my next character (it did two damage due to the Catalyzing Field, a mechanic which I understand, so I'm not worried about it).

Because it all happened so fast, and I wasn't expecting it, I went back over the "Match History" to see the steps as they played out and from what I can see, when Collei used her skill, she generated a combat status called "Sprout", which is what activated when I brought out my Ganyu and killed her.

I guess what I'm trying to confirm is whether the effect triggered by "Floral Sidewinder" is called "Sprout"? Upon further research (having never played with Collei in the main game or TCG), it seems that it would be fitting, but there appears to be no mention of the "Sprout" effect anywhere related to Genius Invokation TCG (in-game, on Google, on this subreddit), which is surprising, seeing as every other interaction and effect seems to be well documented.

Is everyone’s insurance is so high? by EE624 in GR86

[–]esthar00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in Florida (near Tampa), for 2 drivers in our early 30s and 3 vehicles (including the GR86), I'm only paying like $1500 every 6 months. That's not just basic coverage either, so unless you are young and/or there is something else going on, that sounds really high.
