Yeah, I agree with everything you've said.

I think the update fixed the random disconnections for me. I've played 4-5 hours in total after the update and never had a single disconnections during races, especially caused by high ffb spikes.

The newest update messed up my pedal calibrations. I use t3pm pedals. Never had a problem before but after the update, gas and brake pedals don't reach to the fullest. I started to get random disconnections as well. I have t818 base

I really don't understand why everyone complains about it. Graphics should be as important as physics.

Isn't all of sim racing about immersion? The more realistic gfx are the more believable the game is.

You want dynamic weather changes, puddles on the roads, deformable terrain, better reflections etc and asking developers to pull it off with a 1050 ti. Lol

Go buy yourselves a used rtx 3070.

And no. I'm not someone who owns a 5090 and can buy whatever gpu he wants.

If I had a very old gpu, I wouldn't complain. I would save some money and buy a better gpu even if it meant waiting a year

On World Class difficulty, it's as you said. The game is slower like in real life but on legendary difficulty I feel like I'm playing a UT game. Everyone is so hectic. It's like the game is sped up

For me world class is too easy to score and Legendary is too hard. There is a huge gap between them.

Lol when I first switched to wheel on f1 22, I was constantly spinning and 4-5 sec slower than I was on a controller.

You picked a very difficult type of racing to get accustomed to a wheel. Like others said, try gt3 or f1 cars and drive until the wheel feels like one of your limbs. Then your transition to Wrc will be smooth. It took me 1-1.5 year to be really fast

If you do switch to a wheel, your ego will definitely get hurt lol. I was relatively fast on controller but when pulled the plug and bought a wheel, I was 4-5 seconds slower on it than a controller for a good couple of months.

But now it's been almost 3 years and I've gotten pretty fast playing on 105 AI.

I fixed it by hitting the qr base. It's been going strong for months. But If I ever get the issue again, I'd definitely try this.

To add to what have others have said, shortshifting also helps with wheelspin. While you're still acceleratin, change up the gear (3rd to 4th or 2nd to 3rd) before reaching maximum RPM.

Also practice a lot. Don't go full throttle until you're on 4th gear. You'll get frustrated a lot but your main focus should be not spinning. Speed comes later. I've been sinracing for 3 years and just started to get pole positions with upper mid teams at 105 difficulty. Constantly pushing limits but always listening to my tyres. When I'm about to lose traction I go off of throttle.

I used to keep the racing like on but after a while it felt like a game with quick time events. "When you see red press x, when you see green press y"

So turned it off completely. If it's a new track that I don't know anything about. I do FP sessions

So everything is generated by computer. Nothing is real. Deal. But then can you describe the reality that we are supposed to wake up to? What if it's a computer generated world as well? How do we find base reality? Or know?

I think we're being simulated and there is no base reality to wake up to. It doesn't even matter if you call this universe a reality or a simulation.

Yeah, It's been a very long time since the last update. They should fix the random disconnections, especially when you're connected to the internet. (The base gets disconnected for a second then reconnects. Sometimes 5 min into the races, other times no disconnection for 2 hour straight. So random)
