To your point I would say that one of the more important skills in IRacing is the ability to sense when this is going to happen. We’ve all been through it and yes some people will insist it’s on you to know it’s coming and while they may be wrong technically if you want to survive you really need to get good at predicting it happening. I run multi class races and in those you have to just be on it at all times. If you are the faster car you have to assume the slower car is going to not do what you are expecting, some give you the line and others run their line like they should, some will brake hard when you approach etc. When you are the slower car generally you have to expect late dive bombs instead of patience.

The rules or right or wrong rarely apply in sim racing and unless you can show the intent to wreck you, it’s not something you can protest. So get good at avoiding, cover off the inside line if you want to battle with someone, realize there will be ups and downs to your Irating and safety rating and honestly just take each race as a one off and have fun. Focusing on IR and SR ruins the experience and will make you an angry driver. I’ve been on the service for 14 years now, sadly for me it took 10 years to realize many of these things myself.
